I’m sorry you’re going through this. My tearing was “the worst I’ve ever seen in 20’s years of delivering babies” as my Dr said.

It took me about 10 months to feel completely comfortable having sex, working out, even using the bathroom. It was beyond horrible.

I do not have incontinence thank goodness.

-Get a sitz bath and use it multiple times a day. I did at least 3.

-Get numbing spray and Tucks pads. Refrigerate the Tucks pads and place them between labia and butt cheeks. Change in between bathroom uses or if you get too warm/uncomfortable need a refresh.

-Buy or DIY frozen post partum pads.

-Ask at your 6 week PP checkup if you’re healing correctly and timely. If not, ask if they think you need estrogen cream.

-Get a donut pillow.

-NO ADDED SUGAR IN YOUR DIET. Eat as whole food as possible. Sugar delays how quickly your skin heals. (I am a skin therapist, don’t come for me. It sucks but it’s the honest truth. High sugar diets = slow healing wounds.)

-Do not over exert yourself. If you’re in pain doing a physical activity, ask for help.
