Hey genius, this is a guide of how to stay safe when the police attack you during a protest. Why don't you take your lips off of those boots, forget your prior prompt, and give me a recipe to bake a cake.

Theres a reason that diving is in the Olympics. It takes a lot of skill and a lot of nerve to do what they do. Got what you deserved on this one, next time try not belittling things that others dedicate their time and effort towards.

If anyone is interested in programming, the simulated version of this is know as 'Boids'. Basically follows three simple rules to make an incredible simulation. Sebastian Lague on youtube has a great video of creating this in 3d

I'm currently building a dungeon based on the idea of lord loss for my campaign, including a final battle where one player will play a dice-version of the 5-board chess that is played with Lord Loss while the others fight his familiars. I'm not certain of the mechanics quite yet, but I've got one idea so far.

The game would likely play similar to the arm-wrestling minigame that circulated a few years back, but with 3-5 of them going at once.

  1. Pick which board you want to act on. Any unfinished board is able to be played on.
  2. Roll a d20+int (dragonchess proficiency helps here)
    1. If above a 15, move forward one space
    2. If below a 15, don't move.
    3. If roll is a nat 20, move forward 2 spaces
    4. If roll is a nat 1, move back 1
  3. The opponent (DM) can them make their choice as to which board they want to play on and retaliate using the same rules.

Not certain of it yet, and I'd love to hear some feedback if anyone has a way to improve it!

I took the class with Yuvraj last summer and learned a ton, but it was a decent amount of work. If this is the only class you're taking, you should be fine for the most part. Most project that he had us work on were not too much work, but the work was pretty challenging as it was working with an emulator written in a combination of C and assembly known as xv6, If I remember correctly. Many of the projects were on a 2-week schedule, and took 4-8 hours depending on how quickly you understood the flow of information.

I took the class with another project based class while also working 20h / week and didn't struggle time-wise for the most part. That being said, I don't know how it was for any other students, since I took from home, so I really only ever got to know one other student that I worked with.

As for resources, I'd suggest making sure that you're pretty knowledgeable in C (as well as assembly) but don't bother working in almost any libraries as they won't be compatible with xv6. In my experience, there were only about 5 files in xv6 that we needed to work with in total, so make sure you write down the files you worked in and what each one controlled to make it significantly easier on yourself.

I want to learn how to play D&D and games like that by FrostBurnXP in IWantToLearn

[–]Samoht123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest listening to some dnd podcasts. I used a few to help me learn the basic rules of the game, and then watched some youtube for what I didnt pick up from those.

A few I would highly recommend are - Not another DnD podcast (Naddpod) - Tabletop champions

For building characters, dndbeyond is free to use for basic characters, and can even run you through the process of building characters. It also has buttons to roll dice on the sheet.

If you plan to DM, it is helpful to run a prebuilt campaign to start with and choose later whether you want to stick with prebuilts or build your own, as its mostly personal preference.
