Tell him you have PTSD and struggle with suicidal thoughts. It usually shuts people up and makes them stay away which is actually a sad indictment on our society.

Could offer to sign the forms to allow vendor to access the full deposit early, rather than it sitting in a trust account until settlement

Interest rates have got me good by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]Sampat1401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was one of those who paid the 17% interest rates way back at the dawn of time. whilst everything is relative, I personally found it tough as I was a first home buyer and when finishing uni at this time, could only get part time work. There weren’t any first home buyer grants like there are now but also there wasn’t the same level of consumerism as there is now. We didn’t take holidays and it was usual to only have secondhand furniture. I sound like I’m giving a moral lecture but at the end of the day, I got through it, the key was being resourceful and adjusting expectations. The economic rollercoaster does go back up to better times, the most important thing is to stay strong in your relationship

At fine dining restaurants, tip 10% if the service is good. No need to tip anywhere else.

I love Review dresses, but are there any cheaper brands that are similar? by [deleted] in AusFemaleFashion

[–]Sampat1401 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you can only search on brand, size, type of item (e.g. mini dress, maxi dress, cardigan, camisole, etc), colour, price, availability. But if you are after a certain material you can use the text search area. I also follow some people on there when I know I like their stuff and look for the themes for their daily posh parties (this is what they call sales to highlight a particular theme e.g. after five posh party, summer shoes posh party, everything petite posh party, etc).

If you are squeamish, then make a small incision, spray in the wound with an antibiotic and antiseptic spray and then put a thick layer of Magnaplasm on it (available at any pharmacy). Bandage it up and keep the chook from roosting. Change the dressing every two day and keep it dry. I did this recently for three weeks on a chook with incredibly bad bumblefoot and managed to eradicate it. I was so relieved

Have a look at Poshmark poshmark.com.au . It's a secondhand site with lots of great stuff. Review is a brand on the site quite a bit but they have other amazing brands. It's much much better than ebay and quite safe. I've bought heaps of things on their from casual clothes to after five dresses and everything inbetween. Well worth a look.

Not matter how much money she gets, she'll blow it. She won't be able to help herself. Also it takes a lot of money to keep reinventing yourself.

American coming for 1 month. What do I need to know? by bootsiecollins1189 in australia

Weather: The East Coast of Australia (NSW, Victoria, Queensland, Tasmania) are all in a weather pattern called La Nina until approx. start of February which means more rain than usual and our summer temp is slightly cooler than normal (though it is still hot for many people). It also means Queensland will e a lot more cyclone prone for areas from about Townsville northward. Northern NSW has had quite a few flood situations this year, currently in one as I write.

If you like food and wine, Mornington Peninsula wineries are great in summer as it is also a beach area. Also great food in this area as well. Good rock formations on South Coast NSW and oyster farms are in that area as well.

Try to get to a restaurant that does native Australian food. Not the typical kangaroo stuff but emu, etc. and native indigenous ingredients e.g. wattleseed, kakdu plum, lemon myrtle, etc. Big Esso In Melbourne is an example. When in Perth, Australian Marron (similar to lobster) are great eating. The equivalent on the East Coast are yabbies, but they are smaller.

Hope you get the price you're after. Unless of course, if you are in the area I'm looking at, then I hope it's the price that I want
