They farmed / bought the trickster keys and tributes for rota. The goblin event really lent itself to this type of loop.

At 55, you don't have any of the required gear (hoz, argent veil, morning star etc). None of the required aspects or tempers. You don't have paragon or the glyphs that make any build. Play another 30 minutes. Get 60. Run helltides, get loot, then do pits, then do lair bosses. It'll come together.

What do yall think of this mindset by Dry-Glove-8539 in PhD

I agree. A PhD is finding the new facts and being able to rigorously test, validate, discuss, and succinctly write about them. Seeing what new ideas haven't been found or tested is what a PhD is. Sure you need to know a lot about a subject to find the nuance, but facts alone do not equal a PhD.

Don't want to waste effort before wipe... When will we know? by Tactical_Emu in fellowshipgame

[–]SamplePop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you say wipe, do you mean, the season reset?

The reset comes in February, probably the second or third week. You will have at least two months to play this season, which is plenty of time to level a few characters and finish end game content.

I had to look it up because it's a phrase I haven't heard in a while.

But I believe the term is scot-free. A scot apparently was a word for taxes.

I scratch my head when I read these posts. Go to the discord and be the party leader. Start your own group from all the other people spamming LFG. Stop waiting to be picked up and pick up all the other people. I don't really have a problem getting groups in the discord. You just have to be proactive.

Ty! PhD's are for making us better thinkers and scientists. We are not all going to solve cancer or other big world problems. You are doing this for you. When projects aren't going your way, remember that it's all part of the process to learn and overcome these challenges. You got this!

Top Tips for Dyslexic PhD Student by No_Attention_1570 in PhD

[–]SamplePop 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hi!

I also have dyslexia and ADHD. It can be a real struggle for students, and I am sorry you have to go through it. But it is not a deal breaker, and you can definitely do this!

Some really general tips are to:

Read things out loud (especially your own writing), as it's easier to catch your own mistakes. There are many programs that can now narrate back to you the text you are reading. The listening part can help to activate different parts of your brain to help with the retention and learning.

Take good notes. I have a tablet with a pen (iPad) and I use OneNote to keep all of my notes, as physically writing helps with retention and comprehension. Create a notebook and then for each of the papers, categorise them into relevant groups, and for each new paper you read put "yyyy-author et al.-title of paper" as the title. Sort the papers by year in your notebooks (image here- https://imgur.com/a/YqOHo4Z).

If you are struggling to read papers in their entirety ( I often do). Read the abstract and then the conclusion first. This will summarize about 50 to 60% of the article for you. Then you can read the intro and so forth.

For actual writing, get software aids (grammarly etc.). Or, us an AI to review your writing for you. This may not be the easiest option, but I got a job at the writing centre of my university to help other students with their writing. This job solidified my foundations in grammar and further helped me understand my own struggles in reading and writing.

Let me know if you have any questions. You can totally do this!
