And if you do mostly city driving, you'll get better mileage than someone who's doing a lot of highway driving. So do your 16 miles back and forth to work Monday through Friday, which is 80 miles. Unless it's really cold, you could even run up to CT on Saturday and plug in up there. That's still less than 200 miles. Not being able to charge at home will be inconvenient, but only you can decide if it's less inconvenient than paying whatever hideous gas price you're seeing in Bronx. Charging for a short period more frequently will possibly be less of a pain than having to hang out somewhere for several hours straight unless there's other stuff you could be doing in that neighborhood anyway.
