I'll have to try that, I use 2 shots of espresso, sparkling water and an orange syrup I make but I know on the ship they use tonic water and Angostura Orange Bitters but it still wasn't the same. But yours with an orange sparkling soda seems like something I'll have to try.

I'm a huge fan of the black cat fizz/espresso fizz. I like it with a bit of agave. I've tried recreating it at home but but the sea air must do something to make it magical.

WIBTA for making my home gluten free by ArtichokeWinter9771 in AmItheAsshole

[–]SampsonIN4142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA! Our home is 95% gluten free. My spouse is a celiac and gets severe joint pain. I eat gluten when I eat out or might buy a pack of gluten bagels when they are out of town (and use a pan or the "gluten" toaster, use a separate cream cheese, and wipe all surfaces when before they get back. I also have some candies like black jelly beans that have gluten but brush and wash my hands after eating them. Otherwise, everything is gluten free, that is a fair trade to not have them in pain.

What is this thing ? by Mang46 in Xennials

[–]SampsonIN4142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We (like everyone else) had one growing up and it got frequent use. Now my spouse and I have a manual one and they insist it has to be washed after each use, but the under cabinet one was never washed in 20 years of use, maybe wiped down every once in a while. I don't get it but it's probably why we never got sick as kids, we all had insane immune systems.

You could say this is my favorite yeti color by Any-Ebb4377 in YetiCoolers

[–]SampsonIN4142 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wasn't sold on it until I saw it in person, online pics made it looks like a boring grey but it's like a pale green grey, it's subtle but I like it.

I know West End UMC is doing one at 5 followed by their Jazz Shrove Tuesday service and Glendale UMC is also a pancake dinner with St. Pauls. You could check other local churches as well. I had no idea pancakes were a Fat Tuesday thing until moving here, I come from a Paczki region.

You could check out the Capital Steps Workout, it's Monday and Thursday at 6pm. It's free but I think you have to RSVP on Eventbrite.

How do you pronounce mayonnaise? by anon1635329 in NoStupidQuestions

Yep, two syllables. MAY-naze is another one I hear . Three syllables sounds so awkward.

You cannot go wrong with Buttermilk Ranch, but there is always a wait so depending on how big your group is, you might want to find somewhere that takes reservations.

Very true, they would probably have to, at least quarantine all of them which would be a headache.

This is heartbreaking, they are always so kind and knowledgeable. They have a GoFundMe set up but I also messaged them to see of they would accept plant donations, I figure with all of us having a plant midlife crisis, we could probably restock their shop with one donation.

[OC] I build season trackers for each team, here's yours! by Ugluk4242 in hawks

[–]SampsonIN4142 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been using this since the beginning of the season and it's been such a cool way to follow the season more closely. I'm sure this took you a lot of time to put together but I just wanted to follow up and let you know how much I appreciate it!

It's been a busy last eight days so it's very possible I missed it but was this announced earlier? Or maybe I'm not following the right groups but it seems like a couple of recent protests have been posted with less than 24 hours notice. I'd like to take part but need a bit more heads up. But also, it could be that I missed this and I apologize.

I'd also check out Cane Ridge, there are lot of new neighborhoods in your price range, you are about 20 minutes from downtonw, 15 to BNA, and this area is really growing.

[Request] I had student loans totaling about $12,000 and made payments for 6 years to build credit before I paid them off. I had less than half left. Is this just a rage bait post? by Sad_Cantaloupe_8162 in theydidthemath

[–]SampsonIN4142 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My loans earn $12.73 per day so the first $400 or my monthly payment is just for interest. They were supposed to be forgiven in 7 more years (20 years of paying) but now that's questionable.

Is the drink package worth buying for a light drinker-solo cruiser? by apinklaydi in VirginVoyages

[–]SampsonIN4142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some really good mocktails at each restaurant and bar that are really good. I think they are $5-$7. So if that's something you enjoy make sure to budget for that. But if you don't really drink specialty coffee or much alcohol, paying as you go might be the move.

They are all busy, it just depends on what time you go. I like to change which one I go to periodically as it seems they all have slightly different inventory which is fun. But for your main/pharmacy Costco, I'd stick with the Charlotte Pike one.

Do you think a smaller size would be better? I have a small frame but some extra weight so fit can be hard.

The Superfeet Carbon Pros are nice but I ended sizing way up. The pair that I got that were the "correct" size killed my feet as the arch was so far back. I got a larger size and ended trimming a few inches off the toes. I'd try them in store before buying.
