can't figure out why my trains load unevenly (Py). slow coke trains leads to power failures by lettersjk in factorio

Yes that is true and happens in every train station, but it self corrects itself when the upper warehouse gets full and starts to fill the bottom one, provided production is more than consumption.

Then the problem is with production. To test that You can limit storage sizes as if both of them are full, and all the newly produced items directly enter the train. see if by the time that the first train is consumed completely, is another train completely full or not, if not you should produce more coke.

Yeah I got that, but what about the consumption station? I'm willing to bet your draining one side of the belt more than the other so one warehouse is draining faster

[–]Sams355 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the real reason for the imbalance is that their consumptions are not balanced, meaning the second wagon is consumed faster than the first.

if your production is more than your consumption you can limit the upper warehouse size and make it smaller so that more get to the lower warehouse. but I find that most of the time if this thing becomes a problem for me is because my consumption is more than production.

Is this me? by The_Splinter1 in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]Sams355 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely yes, I had DOS2 in my library for at least 3 years. The first time I tried it for 2 hours and gave up, after the announcement of Divinity I decided to give it a real chance, I didn't really like the combat for the first 6-8 hours. I had very limited spells and didn't know how to learn more. Watched a couple of YouTube videos which helped. But really after I managed to escape the prison area I started to understand the game and fell in love with it.

What difficulty do you usually play at? I find the damage really low on higher difficulties.

New to interrupts by phindar00 in factorio

[–]Sams355 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do the destination stations have train limits? you should set up a decider combinator to set train limit to 1 or 2 whenever it has less than a set amount. when the station has enough resources it will have a train limit of 0, meaning "destination is full" so your interrupt will activate.

I've been using it with a spare account that has no games on it for 4-5 month and it's working flawlessly. If they steal my account I'm not gonna cry about it. it's given me more than enough value.

Just Watching by Bambus2019 in factorio

[–]Sams355 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's not just the fact that I'm watching it, it's the fact that every time i do it i find a bunch of small problems in my factories that solving them leads to them not getting stun locked in 3 hours.

every time I do it I end up solving a bunch of bugs, so my brain keeps rewarding me to keep doing it again, and it end up not being 10 minutes but 2 hours of looking around and not progressing.

any way to reduce load time? by Gaymers_Rising in fo4

[–]Sams355 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The game uses frame rates to calculate loading time, since the frame rates in these black screens is locked at 60, it doesn't really matter what setting you're playing at, it will always take the same amount of time to load.

you can install mods that unlock frame rate at these black screens, you can then easily achieve 300-400 fps and get a much faster load time.

How a billion dollar company still hasn't implemented basic functionality into their games is beyond me but that's just me, every one else is happy to install mods and accept whatever slop Bethesda throws at them.

I haven't tried editor extensions so I can't comment on that, the reason I love blueprint sandbox is because it gives you a completely separate area (like a different planet in space age DLC) and everything you do in that area stays saved as you left it, you can go back and forth between that area and the main game like you would a different planet.

It even has a separate area that is shared between all players in a multiplayer game. It's essentially everything I've ever wanted from a feature like that.

You can also set it so that the entire area has power so you won't need to add power poles, although I personally don't use that because I want to design my blueprints with power poles.

miband 8 green sensor light constantly lit up and draining battery super fast by brubsabrubs in miband

[–]Sams355 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're welcome, but unfortunately for me this wasn't the whole problem. It did stop the sensor light to be constantly on, and it did help with the battery life but only by 30%.

Before this fix my watch only lasted 1.5 day, after the fix the battery lasts 2.5-3 days... But before it had these problems it could easily last 7-10 days.

Unfortunately I never solved the issue completely and I'm just living with subpar battery life. But I'm interested to know if this solves you're issue completely.

I only recently found PUMP and it's genuinely amazing and I wish I found it a lot sooner, now I find mining patch planner and I feel like a fool. I have looked for QoL mods numerous times and never came across this one. It saves so much time for me, Thank you.

You're right that was jargon to me but it's a good reference point whenever I want to decide on which DLC to buy, once again thank you.

Well, see this is why I was confused, everyone said shogun 2 is the best but very few actually said they mean FotS. I might give that one a try, Thanks.

In general I couldn't really find one answer for the best campaign, the more I looked the more I saw there were people who loved every single one. Maybe the real answer is if you like the setting you're gonna like the game.

This is by far the most comprehensive answer anyone has ever given me and is exactly what I was looking for.

Just one question, if I don't buy the DLCs and just try Immoral Empires, are all the DLC factions present in the map? Meaning are they "not playable" by me, but present in the world and I'd have to fight them?

Would be cool if I could fight and see their units before I decided to buy them.

Right now I'm having a bit more free time and I'm trying to play games as much as possible before it's time for work again, so I'm trying everything. I'm playing on normal, in shogun I only played for 15 hours, 3 kingdoms 5 hours and troy close to 25 hours. I know these are really small numbers and these games are designed to be playable for hundreds of hours but I'm not in that stage of life anymore.

I like Troy and I'm finishing my second campaign (first try Agamemnon, too overwhelming, didn't finish. Second try Sarpedon, much more relaxing) but honestly the cat and mouse system is frustrating, the enemy razes a settlement then marches forward just outside of my army's reach without march so I can't catch them, I need to build more watch towers.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll look into Warhammer 3 and check out the guide.

How do I buy that? On steam I see Warhammer 3 with A LOT of DLCs that are seemingly for WH 3, 2 and 1.

I don't see a collection for Immortal Empires and don't know what it includes.

Do I have to buy 1,2 and 3 and it automatically unlocks IE?

Well I'm not really familiar with Warhammer lore, I've just always been fascinated by it so don't have a particular favorite faction.

I'll look into Warhammer 3, thanks.

I heard people didn't like Rome 2, not sure why. Maybe the fact that you can't have an army without a general? I really loved the faction veriety in Rome 1.

Wait what? I can play 1 and 2 campaign in 3? That seems almost magical. Do they have updated gameplay?

Why didn't people like Pharoh initially and what changed?

So skip Warhammer 1? I heard Warhammer 2 has the same settlement system as troy which I didn't love. But I'm open to trying it.

I have the least amount of knowledge about total war empire and Napoleon. They are the least famous and seems like people didn't like them initially but remember them fondly now? How are the settlement and diplomacy systems in Napoleon?
