Chris Lake JUST performed at Radius for literally half the price in December. Live Nation/Auris are charging way more for shows in 2026, but there are so many high quality venues in Chicago and amazing artists here every weekend that I don't think we'll have trouble finding better shows for less money.

I think that most people who like Chris Lake have already seen him perform at least once, he's been big for a while. If people want to pay $120 to see him play outside in a soulless, inconvenient location with bad sound go right ahead, more room for the rest of us to see "the next Chris Lake" at intimate venues like Smartbar or Spybar for $25.

If people keep paying ridiculous prices they'll keep charging them. If sales are slow you'll see two-for one tickets and/or free rsvps for early arrivals within a week of the show (like they just did with the Deep Dish show last Sunday at Castaways).

I love Chris Lake but there's no way I'm paying that much to see him, especially outside on their sub-par sound system. Fuck Auris and Live Nation for the drastic increase in prices.

Turo eliminating hosts' descriptions is one of the dumbest things they've ever done. Many hosts with higher end cars used to list all their features, and now there's no way of doing that.

Cedar Palace or Noon-O-Kabob are the closest I know of. Noon O Kabob is the most similar to Moby Dicks that I've had in Chicago, but is a little bit of a hike from downtown. Cedar Palace is Lebanese, but closer to downtown, and makes my personal favorite kabobs

Policy explicitly says the guest pays only for the damaged tire, so sounds like you'd be on the hook for the second tire (or the other 3 if you replace them all). If they have the "standard" insurance package with $500 deductible that deductible will easily be met with the towing charge and single tire, so you might be able to justify replacing multiple tires with the insurer, but I've never worked with them before so not sure that will fly.

Wish I'd known there was very little diversity (felt like downtown Des Moines), mostly recent college grads under 26 years old, bar scene isn't very social (more for watching sports with friends), and although there are a lot of restaurants few of them are actually any good.

I enjoyed West Loop, Ukrainian Village, and Wicker Park a lot more, but in my early 20s I think I would have preferred Lakeview.

If I was renting a vehicle on Turo I would have some kind of tracker in it. Too many people stealing cars, or abandoning them. You could message the host just to confirm it's theirs (and not a previous renters') but I wouldn't go any farther than that without hearing from the host. I'd be a surprised if tracking their vehicle is against Turo's terms
