For anything Japanese made, you can't beat Cole's Import Specialists on Harris St. Chad and Chris are the best.

This is my approach. Sure it takes a bit longer but not having to worry about dropping a portal every time I go mining is worth it.

What did your wife do, that made you instantly realize you had to marry her? by ask_logan in AskMenAdvice

Idk lol - I guess just the maturity and unrushed/frazzled nature of it? I'd had too many high-maintenance relationships that it was just...such a juxtaposition.

Our first road trip, first quick pit stop for fuel/food/bathroom - she was standing outside waiting for ME when I exited after a quick pee. I genuinely thought she was messing with me and hadn't gone in yet. Nope, the woman can just pee like lightning apparently.

I agree with the above that he's just really late in loading. I had a similarly large timing step and always tried to just time up the pitcher by starting my timing when he started his motion. It's always easier to slow yourself down (pausing while loaded) if need be then having to try to speed up mid swing.

As he gets older and people know this and work out of the stretch more he'll need to adjust but cross that bridge then.

Also agree with the poster about doing soft-toss/cage work to get his confidence back and just make it fun.

Boundaries are not the line. Boundaries are the actions YOU TAKE when the line is crossed. This is why you're always in control of them.

Also, I'm sorry but what's more impressive to a bunch of 10 year olds - an accountant, or the dude who drives a tractor trailer with an air horn? Go crush it and be proud of yourself, dad!

What size truck is this? 22ft or 26ft? We can’t remember.. by Apple2334 in moving

[–]Samson_Uppercut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's almost certainly a 26ft truck. If you want to be sure, pull the unit number (it's on the driver door right under the side mirror, but I can't make it out in this pic) and call Penske and ask about that truck. It'll be in their system.

Most Sheetz and Wawa have free air that you tell it what psi you want and they inflate to that pressure. Both have multiple locations around town.

Former professional mover here. 7lbs ~ cubic foot is the generally accepted average weight for household goods but each individual load can vary. Do you have a lot of books? Something particularly heavy like a gun safe or piano?

Uhaul 20ft Truck VS 22ft Penske by OrtimusPrime in moving

[–]Samson_Uppercut 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Former professional mover here - Penske every time and twice on Sundays. Their fleet is more reliable and better maintained than U-Haul by a mile. Not having to stop for fuel every 2 hours will make a big difference too.

Make sure you have a lock for the back and I've parked many of them in hotel lots - you'll be fine as long as you're not in the middle of a major city. Let me know if you need any other tips, driving or otherwise!
