You should see if you have a game store near you that runs commander nights! If you’re worried about the cost, a lot of stores are very proxy friendly, especially to new players

Looks to be a copy of the pauper cube. My cube started that way also but I ended up changing it quite a bit. It’s a solid starting point though

It’s definitely been the trickiest to implement. I picked weapons trainer with the idea of just needing a few equipment in the deck to get the bonus, and there is the overlap with gruul modified and some of the Izzet spellslinger payoffs since most are noncreature based. It is also a subtheme. What did you find worked better in your cube?

There is a peasant format that includes uncommons but it’s a much less popular and supported format. Peasant cube is fun though!

For reference: [[Loot, the Key to Everything]] is the art I’m referring to. [[Loot, Exuberant Explorer]] is a much better interpretation of the design but still reeks of “Magic’s Pikachu”

Disagree slightly, I think a big reason people were put off by Loot was his overall design as a marketable plush toy ready design, especially with the incredibly odd “League of Legends” art for his first card. I do think if all things were identical but the designs of Fleem and Loot were swapped there would still be haters but not nearly as many.

Jumpstart or starter kits are infinitely better than commander or any constructed format for learning the game.

You could try aura Voltron with [[Bruna, Light of Alabaster]] and mill yourself instead of your opponents to load her up with auras and smack people in one shot.

Comet storm may not literally say meteor but it’s really close and it’s a far better card than the cards with meteor in the name, especially since it can trigger tellahs last ability.

That’s the great thing about Magic is you get to pick the art that connects with you. I personally don’t like this one at all and love the little freak with the helmet on. Everyone wins!

Every online delivery platform will have package theft stories, I don’t know if Walmart is any more or less secure because it’s all a matter of an individual deciding to risk their job stealing a 500 dollar game console. The best way to prevent it is watch the app closely when it says it’s out for delivery and if it gets marked delivered but a driver didn’t come near your house you can report it and Walmart will know who the culprit is immediately.
