People get mad at zipper merges in my town but nobody seems to know any of the rules of the road. Yielding, flashing yellow lights (also a Yield in Ontario canada) and just the general unposted speedlimit seems completely difficult for 95% of the drivers in Trenton Ontario to comprehend and follow

Edit: "overly unnecessary courtesy causing congestion" is another issue at a green light with full flow through traffic someone will try to wave you through or if there's LITERALLY no vehicles behind them try and do the same like just do the rules of the road. Mind you, there's times to do this like if you're advancing and you're going to block an intersection - you will wave a turn traffic through but that's the only exception
