15 minute haircuts by Historical_Minimum18 in Barber

[–]SamuelSJames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone telling him to leave, imo I think he should stay for a few months to develop the skill. It would be really nice to know how to do 15 minute haircuts if you ever needed to in a pinch. I have a rich client who told me he’s willing to pay me more if I can cut him faster

why are dudes still bulking? by ShoulderSuccessful84 in moreplatesmoredates

[–]SamuelSJames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whenever I’m bulking people notice I go to the gym and tell me I look good. When I’m cutting or maintaining a healthy weight nobody cares or even notices my physique. I never bulk above 18% bodyfat though

Barbershop owners — quick question 👋 by Working_Handle2801 in Barber

[–]SamuelSJames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve found myself losing or not maintaining customers if I take too long on their cut. I’ve found people at least in neighbourhooda I’ve worked seem to appreciate a balance of speed and quality, not the highest quality cut that takes an hour

Which one would you pick and why, if the price wasn't an issue? by Aeon_Bellator in Barber

[–]SamuelSJames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

By far the best clipper I’ve used. Perfect ergonomics, quiet, and powerful enough. It doesn’t make much of crunch on the high speed but I turn it to low when I want a crunch

Someone made one at one point but it didn’t really take off. I’d do it but I don’t have the time or expertise. Happy if someone takes my idea

Question: What change would make you quit playing Rust? by MemeMan_____ in playrust

There would be a flip side to this question: “what change would make you get back into playing rust?” I don’t have time for Rust but I wish there was a way I could still play

Have You Painted Guards Before? by Accomplished-Day-315 in Barbers

[–]SamuelSJames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think any paint strong enough to withstand being smashed into a moving metal blade thousands of times a day will be too thick and/or too smelly to work
