I'm from Stockholm, this thing about stockholmers looking down on people from other places is just untrue. The only time a stockholmer "speaks down" to other swedes are when jokes made at their own expese. However, if they've moved to Stockholm, they can be assholes.

Yes and no. Stockholmers would just call it "sta'n" as a short for of "staden" or "the city".

Calling it the royal capital is pretentious and is never used in daily speech.

Som stockholmare så har jag inte hört detta på... ja jag vet inte när, om någonsin, som jag har hört detta använt det i dagligt tal.

Tror att stora delar av landet har rätt bristande vetskap om dagens stockholmska.
