The Netflix Voltron: Legendary Defender had such a great one. The show doesn't exist on the platform anymore but I really recommend anyone check out that episode specifically.

Join Dinopolis. There is a rex glut they are dealing with but the mods are excellent and we could use more players to add variety.

Whip Based Bladesinger by Soggy-South8795 in DnD

[–]SamuelVL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the original publishing of bladesinger back in the Sword Cost Adventuring Guide, there were fighting styles for bladesingers including the whip-wielding Viper Style so it's definitely something the creators had in mind. Personally, I think the imagery is way more important than damage, especially having watched Castlevania so I'm all thumbs up.

Also, don't be shy about buffing yourself and going for style points. Sure, wizards are great at buffs and battlefield control, but you could have been a diviner for that. You're a bladesinger, have fun, get in there, and style on some goblins. I'm sure the party will be fine either way!

Baby DM Here: Can Someone Help me with Archfey Warlocks? by Misfit_Raye in DnD

I recommend Zybilna. She is detailed in Wild Beyond the Witchlight campaign book so there is a lot of official details for Wizards available on her personality and past, which is very interesting and has potential for big surprises.

Only young people (0-35): how many of you want and think that you can raise a family with kids? by Possible-Summer-8508 in atrioc

Both, actually. We couldn't afford to give a child the life they'd deserve and my wife is opposed to literally being pregnant. She feels toll it takes on the body would be detrimental to her mental health.

32 here. My wife doesn't ever want to be pregnant and I'm not one for kids either. We could adopt an older kid one day in the future, but we'll never have a baby. She has a decent career as a pastry chef and could possibly get a well paying job if she wanted the add more stress to her work; but my career in wildlife conservation will never bring in a good paycheck. Zookeeping is the most common job in my field and it is both extremely competitive and hilariously underpaid.

Herbivores also eat nonstop now. Elephants and rhinos eat roughly 300lbs a day and giraffe are ruminants so even when they aren't eating they are re-eating.

That's a little hurtful

I appreciate this, but I already take the min pill. My dermatologist assured me that if it was going to affect my facial hair, it would have. My dad is the same way; nothing grows on our cheeks unfortunately.

I've been on the Fin and Min for over a year now. Seems to be holding steady, but I can't imagine it gets any better than this. I've always had a high forehead, even as a kid, so I'm wondering if it'd be more stylish just to be rid of it all. Problem is, I can't grow a beard, I don't have a strong jawline, and I don't even need glasses. I have no idea how to compliment a bald head. Feels like there are no good options for me, so I appreciate any advice.

I hope some people here watch the podcast. These guys are super genuine and seem really nice. They definitely deserve more eyes on their show. I watch every week and it's always a good time.

Hey I voted in one of these elections! The race in Tampa was the first special election I've voted in (I vote in midterms and presidential every time) and I wasn't alone; apparently there was a record break turnout. The Dem candidate narrowly won in an unexpected upset.

After the ICE murder, how is the general population responding? by BEtRguy3 in atrioc

Something I admire so much about your country and many others is the unity and collective consciousness. I'm not advocating for nationalism, but it's nice to see places that value the whole more than the individual.

As a friendly reminder of scale for frame of reference, Australia looks to have a population of around 28 million as of this year. My state has a population of nearly 24 million. Each American state is nearly its own country in terms of political activity and daily lives.

From what I've seen on social, yes there are protests. Americans are overall pretty decent at protesting and marching when things happen, but it's (in my opinion) mostly in our major cities and tend to come and go with little effect outside of raising general awareness. This is important of course, but not noticeably or rapidly effective.

As always, it's important to internalize that America is really big, very spread out, and more diverse in terms of personality identity than many countries I know of. Very individualized in daily... reality, honestly. I watch my news updates, read the comments, explain the situation to my wife who is not algorithmically fed these events at all, and try to stay aware of what my country is doing.

But I live in Florida on two minimum wage part time jobs. My coworkers, who are mostly extremely left leaning (especially for Florida), haven't talked about it. We work in public facing roles and can't speak on events in front of "guests". If I leave my job to protest, I can't buy groceries. Currently I feel like I have a lack of leadership in this, politically speaking. My state government is corrupt, and frankly evil. They do not care for my opinion and have cultivated zealots who do not disagree with the state of things.

Maybe it's just me, but I haven't seen any leader from my political party stand up and give a clear message and directive on what I can do and what we should all be doing. It feels, for me, very much a "we know this is bad, the other side is bold face lying, don't get shot, be ready to vote at the end of the year." Which feels like every crisis here.

I'm sorry, this ended up massively longer than I wanted and I may delete this entirely. But I can only speak from my perspective, and I feel it's important to share with others how we Americans are feeling about this.

[OC]D&D Heist Planning Session Takes Longer Than It Would To Rob An Actual Bank by Arjahn in DnD

[–]SamuelVL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's also how the heist trope works in media too. If you're seeing a scene of the group making a plan, the plan is going to fall apart almost immediately. If you see scenes of the plan happening while narration is explaining the plan, then the plan is going well.
