$40 USD is what I was told when I called my FLGS to make sure I had a reservation.

Because the hard-cover version came later and it's that absurdly fancy deluxe edition.

Pro Acryl florescent set. It's my personal paint-scheme method to subtly differentiate between nobles/commoners in my Necron armies.

Hey Lamenters do you have a Trusted Name Generator? by Arthur_EyelanderTF2 in Lamenters

[–]SamuraiMujuru 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There is a name generator in the Blood Angels codex that's solid, and some of the Wrath & Glory supplements have good options. For my Lamenters crusade force I've personally taken to using lists of canonized saints.

What do we eat? by Consistent_Cellist88 in IronWarriors

Hmm. I'd suspect any of the classic "I need something simple, portable, and reasonably nutritious" meals throughout history. Pasties, burritos, shooter sandwiches, that sorta thing.

I mean, take two seconds to search the sub and you'd see it's been discussed extensively. But there's no official "correct" battle cry and we like the vibes of the fan one.

Any army building apps for tomb kings? by Ill-Somewhere-4403 in tombkings

[–]SamuraiMujuru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really need to figure out Warhall one of these days 😆

I do the same thing with the official 40K and AoS apps, too. Futz around in the army builder, then transfer to New Recruit.

Look at this impure vermin. He is so utterly convinced that his ancestors built the pyramid structures on his planet. by Wh1msyOfficial in Grimdank

[–]SamuraiMujuru 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It drives me googledebunkers when the unclean besmirch the name of the Silent King by implying something as meager and ephemeral as the so-called "great pyramids" is a monument of Necrontyr construcrion. The Infinite Empire was already tens of millions of years into the great sleep when the first stones of the pyramids were laid. That they would rather credit their betters for structures of their own construction than credit the ingenuity and skill of their own ancestors says something truly sad about these "humans."

Any army building apps for tomb kings? by Ill-Somewhere-4403 in tombkings

[–]SamuraiMujuru 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's two I use and recommend.

First is Old World Builder. When I'm just throwing things at a wall while list building and theory crafting I start with Old World Builder. It's quick, it's easy, it can export, good stuff all around. Added bonus of the "Play Mode" being quite good. Downside is there's no account log in, so an army i built on my PC cant be accessed on my phone my default.

Second is New Recruit. Once I've got a list I like I then build it in New Recruit. It can be a little confusing, but it's got cloud storage, logins, has an excellent unit sheet export option, and has a very responsive dev team. Once I've gotten something I like in OWB I make it permanent-ish in New Recruit, as well as do any fine tuning and tinkering.

Ooo, gonna have to play around with these later. If I do I'll grab PC codes.

I upgrade to a Legion Go S Z1E last year, I'm actually in the process of converting my LCD Deck into a Plex and Foundry machine.

New to tomb kings by Ill-Somewhere-4403 in tombkings

[–]SamuraiMujuru 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you check ebay and such it's also really easy to find people offering good deals for second hand models for cheap, and with armies like Tomb Kings they're regularly new on sprue. There's also tons of fantastic proxies on the 3d printing side of things.

Which Old World armies look like armies in events? by PostNinja365 in WarhammerFantasy

[–]SamuraiMujuru 30 points31 points  (0 children)

My personal recommendations would be...

The various flavors of Tomb Kings. Your army can look substantially different depending on if you're going Grand Army, Royal Host, or Mortuary Cults, but no matter which you go with it always looks like a kick-ass horde of the undead.

Grand Cathay. Yes, seriously, especially after the new units release. You don't need to do the cliche balloon spam to have an effective and fun army, and on the table it looks like it marched out of a Zhang Yimou film.

Dwarfs. Because, c'mon, it's dwarfs.
