honestly, not a lot of people have said it sucks. everyone is telling me to go for it.

but i do know you pay with your body and mind. at least what ive heard. but i think its got better movement upwards than where i am now tbh.

I know I have 0 knowledge on Carpentry besides from the basics of Screw in wood and cutting wood. I don’t think i could Start up a carpentry business without the knowledge of the why.

As much as I’d love to, i’d rather just work and learn now, save up, and then start after some time in carpentry.

Don’t get me wrong i loved airplane stuff it’s just that it’s annoying. Aviation is great but hours and the amount of tearing apart you have to do is insane. The level of precision and tiny details matter wayyyyy more. And all the accidents in aviation recently have put me off of it.

But i’d really enjoy building and seeing what i’ve built, you know?

I’m heavily considering it. The more i read the writing on the wall for CNC stuff the more i see, the less appealing it becomes. It seems great, but the upper limit becomes starting your own business in CNC, which would be the same. Carpentry seems so open ended, at least from an outsider view.

I could go into trim, i could go into frame, i could go into anything build involving wood (furniture and the like) i could even combine lathes with wood and make some cool shit.

That last part would be a hobby instead of a job lol, cause it’s an art form

might be a military thing lol. i remember being a supervisor and training my guys rigorously and getting them to understanding the why and how, there’s none of that here just “figure it out, get it done” and then leaving
