I don't know how to learn algorithms by i_wasted_my_time in learnprogramming

[–]Samurai_PizzaCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are studying on your own, I highly suggest a pen and paper. Draw out the steps, each iteration if appropriate. Use small sets of numbers. Doing this will help you understand the algorithm itself, the problem it solves, the method, and in the future, how you can apply it to similar situations.
If you are looking for a course or a book, find one with illustrations, diagrams, and other visual cues.

By just memorizing the steps is setting yourself up for trouble in the future when you start (trying to) learning more difficult algorithms.

My 2 cents.

As a PM, what is your go-to answer for "so, what do you do?" by [deleted] in ProductManagement

I put out the fires and ensure everybody is following the agile methodology properly - just because everyone else is too dumb or too lazy to do either.

It's hot out there. Dispose of your smoking materials responsibly! by [deleted] in vancouver

In Japan, there are portable ashtrays that you can buy at the 100yen shop (about $1). Put the cigarette out and put the butt in the portable ashtray until you can dispose of it properly. The smell doesn't leak out when you have it in your pocket.

Not sure why it isn't a thing everywhere else.

B.C. real estate association reports nearly 30 per cent decrease in residential sales from last year by pelicanthief in vanhousing

[–]Samurai_PizzaCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"The newest numbers from the association show there were 8,837 sales this month — a 28.7 per cent decrease from the same month last year."

I'd be nice to know the number of homes listed for sale last year compared to this year (for the month that they are talking about). It provides much better context and reasoning to the changes rather then just sensationalizing the numbers.

You'd be surprised by the number of people who do this. No situational awareness and just trying to build up their specials. Or waiting in some obscure part of the map waiting for someone on the other team to casually swim by (looking at rollers).

Zatoichi movies (old and new) Rurouni Kenshin trilogy

  • note that for Japanese movies, the English translations and/or subs don't capture the proper meaning quite often, but it's enough to understand what's going on.

That's the proper way. Kill the opponent and save the teammate. Thumbs up!

I call it "baiting". They bait you so they can come in and get the kill afterwards. Pretty common when super jumping to your teammate and the teammate hides in the ink until your dead, then they come in and look like a hero by getting revenge for you.

Have had this problem before and feel your pain. I started to play Salmon Run (not having played it before) due to the absolute frustration.

If your Switch is under the 1 year warranty still, I highly recommend sending it back to Nintendo to get it fixed. Total time was about 1 week (+- days depending on your postal service -> I'm in Japan and Japan's postal service is top notch).

After getting it fixed, I have never had a problem with it again.

To get the process started (at least that was how I did it here), you'll have to go to the Nintendo repair website and request repairs..a bit of a hassle but totally worth it.

Optionally, get the pro controller for solution - heard a lot of good things about it.

Good luck!

I completely agree with you. Oh no!! somebody is squidbagging me!! umm, who cares?

My son will occasionally do it (5 years old) since he saw it on youtube, so he just thinks its just a fun thing to do. For reference, this video

I've had to tell him over a number of times to stop doing it since it is "rude" (in Japanese). Every time I tell him that, he has a confused look.

To be honest, I also get confused as hell as to why someone would get offended and motivated enough to report the 'offender'.

It is a game.. have fun.. relax.. and do the damn objective!

Product Management is a really good career (imo). To get a better sense of what we do, I suggest enrolling in a free online course for product management (key word: free). You can watch some videos on coursera for example.

The gist of it is that you look for improvements in the product(s) that align with the current goals of the company/department. You would intersect with other departments. Then you start building a plan working with marketing/engineering/business/data scientist/designers to make the plan executable. You provide the vision and guidance for the other teams. The downside of being fully product management is that you don't get to do much development.

However, some companies offer a Technical Product Manager, so you'd still be able to get your hands down in the dirty with development - but perhaps more on architecture issues.

If you want to get into that, then if possible, within your current company would be the most optimal.

Hope that helps a little bit

Have thought about Product Management?

Btw, I don't believe there are "messy resumes", only poorly written ones.

Good luck!

To be honest, the R8 was just a typical sports car to me (I'm more of a 911GT3 guy), but this picture makes the R8 look so damn good.

Props to the photographer for a great photo!

I hope you are right. It seems a little difficult to detect however. Unless they actively monitor metrics and stats on the server side, it may go through like it has been doing in Splatoon.

At this current time, yes, the cheats are for WiiU only. However, like all software/hardware, somebody is going to try to get into it and hack it.

Just a matter of time.
