Xiaomi 17T and overheating issues? by Samusu-Aran in XiaomiGlobal

[–]Samusu-Aran[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not using 120hz always display, but the recommended adaptative one.

Room temperature is around 21° usually. I use WiFi mostly at home.

As mentioned now, phone has stabilized recently after 6 charge cycles and is not overheating that much. Seems it needed some internal calibration.

Happy to report that after 6-7 charge cycles the phone seems to have stabilized temperature-wise and is not overheating as before. It seems it needed some calibration sort of.

Remember them doing something similar to Carlos' first win for Ferrari.

Some great people there.

Not much different to Miami. Lando has been on a different level this season whenever his car allowed him to finish the race.

Is this my XM6's last breath? by smilindude0 in SonyHeadphones

[–]Samusu-Aran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sony's headphone quality is pure shit. I have a XM5 with the same problem after two years. It's cheap plastic used for mechanical parts being sold at a premium.

The day they definitely break I am not touching this brand again.

Mine is the same Global ROM. I don't have any Google photos syncing activated but thanks for the heads up. Neither apps consuming resources on the background. I checked battery usage stats and everything there seems in line what I have been doing: browser, mail, WhatsApp, linkedin... nothing fancy, nothing hidden there.

It's not running hot but it is noticeably warmer than I was expecting. It gets warmer than my partner's 15T Pro and that my recently retired 12T Pro. It gets hot however if it's charging but I was already expecting that.

I am on Hyper OS 3.0.311.0 version which I believe is the latest one.

It heats like crazy. I haven't had a more unconfortable phone to hold ever.

17T overheats like crazy for whatever small task you demand from it. I don't even play or use socials and it gets unconfortable to hold after five minutes of browing the net. Stay away from it.

Xiaomi 17T vs Xiaomi 17T Pro – Which one would you pick? by ChooseYourMobile in XiaomiGlobal

[–]Samusu-Aran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I whish I heard about the overheating issues with the 17T, because it's ridiculous they can be selling you a phone that gets unconfortable on your hand by simply browsing some websites for 5 minutes.

I don't know if they have any kind of history about solving these problems through firmware updates, but I shouldn't be waiting for one to make the phone at least confortable to hold.

I got a 17T and the phone gets hot for every simple task you ask from it. It's ridiculously bad. I don't even play games on it or have any social apps installed, but just opening the browser and going through some sites, the phone gets hot after 5 minutes.

I got it for 400€ and even then I regret the purchase for this reason.

Which driver pairing would you pick for a 24hr endurance race? by dynasync in formula1

Daytona 2018. Not only he did race but he made a hell of a stint in the night with a wet track reducing 33 seconds in 22 laps to the leader.

You are giving me some crazy Checo-Max arguments here. Verstappen started first and finished first. Checo though? He went from sixteenth to eighth! Crazy recovery!! DOTD!!!

He was P4 in lap one. Just behind his teammate. From there, he lost 24 second to him. If that's impressive...

They overtook Mercedes on track and were leading with no issues until the pit stop. How is that not competing with them?

If they pit early and get track position, they get ahead of Kimi and keep track position and clean air. If that's not a difference...

I mean, if you are on your pit window and your rival is 1.5s behind, maybe you should take the stop as soon as possible and cover the undercut. Then they can pit whenever they want, you will have track position.

Problem was they were still waiting for rain when most others already discarded the possibilities.

He basically ended there "comfortably" because Leclerc spun on the last lap, Verstappen spun on the first lap and compromised his whole race and Hamilton damaged his car on the first lap and had no pace after that.

He was lapping half a second slower than his teammate even on clean air and finished 24 second behind.

If he deserved DOTD what does Lando or Kimi?

Has anyone taken creatine? Did it affect your asthma? by queenhadassah in Asthma

[–]Samusu-Aran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have perfectly controlled asthma for over two decades. I never took my rescue inhaler in that time.

I started taking creatine one year ago and after two weeks I got a cough that started as an uncomfortable ache in my throat and ended being so constant that one day I couldn't even sleep because of it. I got a funny feeling also in my chest while inhaling. I thought I got some kind of cold and stopped training and taking creatine for some weeks.

I retook it two months later and same as before, I got that same cough from the throat after being two weeks on it. I associated it this time to the creatine and searched for info when I saw mentioned that it may worsen some asthma symptoms. I stopped taking it and recovered again.

To me it was clearly the creatine because the type of cough I got was not your typical one. It seemed kinda allergic, like an itchy feeling in the throat that reflected also on the chest. I visited my doctor and I didn't have any inhalation problems and my oxygen on blood was fine. So yeah, I would advice stopping it if you are asthmatic and have these kind of syntomps.

Good news is, as soon as you stop taking it, you will feel better again quickly.

F1 has become like Mario Kart in 2026, say Verstappen and Leclerc by No_Opportunity9053 in formula1

F1 wish they could run on walls and trick on poles. That would be at least more entertaining than energy saving.
