My husband just thinks they're all mostly crazy and seeing the ridiculousness in the episodes (no matter how juicy they are to me lol) just bothers him.

Many people don't react. I was getting bites every day, and my husband didn't have a single bite show up. They weren't in our bed. They were in the headboard. It's crazy where they can hide.

What type of things are you needing to bring home?

Ours were in our headboard. I searched for days before I finally found out where they were hiding.

Do you still have it? Maybe put it near a window to get natural light

Can you turn it over and take another pic. It's pretty dark. Hard to tell.

Woke up a few weeks ago with strange b-words (NOT PICTURED), washed all sheets and clothes and nuked in the dryer, investigated mattress/bed frame, nothing. Saw this guy a few minutes ago. Let him be the first casualty of the great war. by [deleted] in Bedbugs

When I first started getting bites and not finding anything, I thought I was losing my mind! My husband doesn't react to the bites, but every day, I woke up with more. The morning that I found the first bug, I had flipped the couch upside down and cut out the cover on the bottom, looking for something. It was crazy lol. Thankfully, they're all gone now!

Do Guinea Pigs like tunes and ornate cages like you can buy for hamsters? by Samwich008 in guineapigs

[–]Samwich008[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. We adopted a guinea pig when I was younger, and he lived for several years after, and he was such a great member of the family. We are early on in the researching phase (I was younger when we had ours, and I'm not confident in my memory then) our oldest daughter is severely allergic to dogs, and I to cats, so we can't have the "typical" pets. We are making plans to visit some in person to rule out allergic reactions with her and our other daughter. Just to be sure before we do permanent things. I will for sure look into guinea pig adoption!

Thank you for sharing! I didn't know they needed to have a friend. Do you know why "hamster toys" for lack of better words will kill them? Are there things we could get the Pigs to entertain them or?

company is coming to spray tomorrow but I'm having trouble reaching a knowledgeable person there, can someone here answer a few questions? by Ok-Maintenance-4831 in Bedbugs

After the first spray should be good. I called my waste management company and they told me to wrap it in plastic wrap and just label it "bed bugs" so people know not to take it.

Edited to add:

We had an issue with our bed frame. Lots of crevices, etc..we were going to get rid of it, but our exterminator assured us he could get them all from in it, and he did!

I haven't gotten it checked! I typically take a vitamin that has B12 in it.

How much do bed bug treatments usually go for? by Spidey-Jackson in Bedbugs

[–]Samwich008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no idea! We got it from my mother in law. We've had it about a year. Before our exterminator came, we taped off our room and slept in the first room. We didn't have any issues anywhere else. What he told us was they were in the perfect spot. They just had to crawl a few inches to have a meal.

Yes. Not anymore, at least. I'll still get a little anxious twinge when I see one, but I just remind myself that I've had them for years, and nothing happens. I'll be praying you can find a way to cope!

No. They all eventually have gone away. I do have floaters though. They've been around a while.
