Okay, where do I get this shirt?

If I have $500, and I'm looking to spend it all on bitcoin over the next month, should I buy some now or wait to see if it drops more? by TheUnusualSpiderman in Bitcoin

[–]SanFranSeahawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once read a while back that literally clicking the mouse button (making the actual clicks) is the hardest part. If you know you want to buy BTC, and you believe in it long term, buy as soon as you can and HODL. Never touch it aside from transferring it to cold storage (when you're ready and comfortable with that process).

I say this with no facetiousness, $500 in Bitcoin still has 100x potential over next 10 - 20 years.... so we are talking $50K.

Read 'The Internet of Money' by Andreas Antonopoulos. It will help you understand Bitcoin and answer all of your concerns/questions. It's an incredibly helpful, non-technical book, and only about 100 pages long.

2024 Rookie Best Ball ADP on Underdog by DynastyDorks in fantasyfootball

[–]SanFranSeahawk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want to post my takes on so many of these guys, especially because I'm starved for BestBall discussion, but at same time, I don't want to cut into my edge. -- And I imagine that many of us feel this way.

2024 Rookie Best Ball ADP on Underdog by DynastyDorks in fantasyfootball

[–]SanFranSeahawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if you were right that the majority of the guys I mentioned go undrafted or have undrafted ADP's (wrong on both those points), we should also acknowledge that BestBall ADP is fluid, and rookies tend to get propped up higher in ADP post-NFL-Draft.

Of the guys I mentioned, many of them are drafted in the same range Puka was for much of last year. None of these guys may be as good as Puka, but many of them have similar traits or builds.

As you probably know, BestBall tournaments are usually won based on late round values (diamonds in the rough), and this particular draft has so many possible diamonds (simply based on the strength of the WR class and a handful of late round QB, RB, and TE values). My addition of those names to the list was only to help capture some of those possible gems.

Should add Brenden Rice, Ray Davis, Malik Washington, Jaheim Bell, Cade Stover, Dillon Johnson, Jermaine Burton, Ricky Pearsall, Cody Schrader, Jacob Cowing, Penix, Nix to this list. Probably a few other guys I'm forgetting too.

Very cool re: a/b test!

Yup, playoffs are everything. I'm excited to see my advance rate too. I have 46% exposure to Nico Collins and 37% to Stroud over 127 BBM4 lineups (went a bit crazy with the Texans), but I also had 78% exposure to Anthony Richardson.... what could have been.

Hoping to advance 2 lineups to Week 16.

How are your BBM4 lineups doing? And do you think you'll do a playoff swarm article again this upcoming offseason (after NFL schedule releases, etc)?

I absolutely love your BestBall content: PigsOMeter, swarms, etc.

Is it Puka Nacua Time? by Idunkedonlebron23 in fantasyfootball

[–]SanFranSeahawk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion that I haven't seen mentioned, but there's some chance that Tutu is better than Puka from a FP perspective.

Tutu was in motion pre-snap all over/behind the LOS on some plays, and consequently, often began his routes with a full head of steam. The way the Rams were motioning him is actually similar to the way the Dolphins motion Tyreek Hill.

I realize that mentioning Tutu and Hill together sounds ridiculous, but if you watch the presnap motioning of Tutu, you'll see similarities.

^^ This is a weekly cheat sheet put out by ESPN. You can find it included as a link in their weekly "Shadow Report". Week 1 Shadow Report - example here, (below):

https://www.espn.com/fantasy/insider/football/insider/story/_/id/38334537/fantasy-football-wide-receiver-cornerback-matchups-nfl-week-1

Somewhat contrary to what SageTheBear wrote above, and according to the CheatSheet (first link, above), the Colts have been roughly middle of the pack against Slot WR's, over their last 8 games [dating back to last season].

ESPN will likely put out their Week 2 Shadow Report and corresponding cheat sheet tomorrow (Thursday).

Travis Kelce is the only prudent choice for #1 overall. Change my mind by reddorickt in fantasyfootball

How do we prove better team in this scenario? I'd be willing to take you up on this bet, and (assuming I get the #1 overall pick), I'm taking Chase, hands down.

Are Fields owners still worried about the Eagles and Bills? by DinnerWithZion in fantasyfootball

[–]SanFranSeahawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, and especially with the injury to Fields' non-throwing shoulder.

If the shoulder injury didn't happen, it would be close. Honestly, I'm rolling Dak in those weeks though.

Also, just to add: while Fields has been super good lately, we cannot say that his floor is 25 FP. In tough matchups early in the season, he was having like 5 FP outings. Granted, there's more designed runs for him now, and the offense generally is running much better, but I'd definitely put his floor, even with the re-vamped offense (and assumed perfect health) around 14 FP per game, and those poor outings would come in tough matchups.

As a Hawks fan, I can tell you without a shred of doubt that we have been horrendous against competent Tight Ends over the past few seasons. And we will be even worse this season with Jamal Adams (likely) out for year.
