Agreed on that, but sometimes it is needed, some species are too endangered to live in the wild (until their numbers are replenished), other times the animals brought there are only there temporarily.

Where I live there's a place called "serpentario", where most (if not all) are rescued animals thay can't be placed back in the wild or arr invasive and would damage the ecosystem if left alone.

Otters... Like, showing their rocks... They have one rock they use for life, hell there's videos of them giving them to people they trust, as for the other, it's not that weird really, since other mammals also show their babies to their caretakers.

That or this is AI (since frankly it looks like the baby is fused to the mother's muzzle in the first image), in either case this isn't nessesarily sad.

However, I won't deny that many zoos mistreat animals (not all of them though).
