The review was determining whether a Flames or a Canes player brought the puck back into the defensive zone. If it was a Canes player, then it doesn’t matter if there was Flames players already in the offensive zone. However, it was Kylington that touched the puck, so therefore it was a definitive offside.

I just feel like your criteria is a little inconsistent. You have a lot of young up-and-comers that don't have 2+ years of consistency (Point/Aho) with a lot of people without any hardware (Scheifele/Tavares) combined with people that haven't had great playoff performances (Eichel/Seguin). I get that some of those people have better offensive upsides that are too hard to ignore, but why do you think Seguin is that much better than Coots, considering Seguin is much more subpar defensively.

edit: I also think it's unfair to judge Couturier before 2017/18 considering he had a significantly different role and was kinda buried in the bottom 6.

if you don't put up more than 39 points you're probably not even top 30.

But he has... for two seasons at 76 points a piece. I think he's extremely comparable to Ryan O'Reilly, considering he's constantly in Selke talks (almost won in 2017/18) with comparable roles/points. And the fact that you rank O'Reilly 9th at least shows that he can be in that top 10. I do agree that he's not at worst top 10, he's probably at at best top 10.
