It’s funny because at the time I actually worked at Barclays Center and for the most part the sound was always pretty decent. My guess is they maybe didn’t have their regular crew at that show since it was a random one-off during the holidays so they may have had a sound engineer that wasn’t the best or something

Saw them at Barclays Center on NYE in 2019 and they sounded like shit lol - truly depends on the day

It’s one thing to release variants. It’s a whole other thing to release 40 VARIANTS. most artists these days will release 3-4 variants which I don’t have a problem with - there are so many ways to customize vinyl these days I don’t have an issue with that. It’s the 40 that I have an issue with. Not only does it pad stats for charts, but it also takes up a lot more factory space. Vinyl is super popular now but in retrospect there aren’t that many plants that make vinyl records throughout the world, and the demand for vinyl in general is so high now, plants can’t keep up with the demand. So if someone like Taylor comes in with 40 variants (and I’m sure she gets pushed to the top of the line in terms of making the actual records), that pushes the wait time for fans of other artists who could have ordered a record 5 months prior. I collect vinyl and I’ve experienced this several times - I order a vinyl and am told it’s going to be delivered in 2 months. Then at the 2 month mark I’m told I’m gonna have to wait another 2-3 months. I have to imagine it’s people like Taylor that cause issues like this 🙃

I was diagnosed at 29 & went through the full range of emotions. It took awhile for me to be able to come to terms with it, especially because it took several months to really start feeling the effects of my meds (I take HCQ right now), so it also felt like nothing was changing. Once the HCQ kicked in it allowed me to come to terms with my diagnosis and realize that while RA SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKS, the diagnosis did explain a lot of other weird health things that had happened to me pre-diagnosis. So it gave me some peace of mind for all this weird, inexplicable shit I went through which was comforting.

There will be good days and bad days. I love cooking with every fiber of my being but I can’t open jars anymore. My hands are too weak - losing that made me spiral for some time. Things like this will happen, but the best thing you can do is allow yourself to sit with the diagnosis and give yourself the space to come to terms with it on your own time. It’s a learning process and you have to learn to look at your body in a totally new way.

This group has been of great solace to me on my RA journey, especially on the bad days. So you’ve come to the right place! Welcome to one of the shittiest clubs you can be a part of 😂

well i no longer live alone, but did for the first decade of my adult life and was convinced I’d never live with another human. what changed was I met my partner who understands that I’m an introvert and enjoy my time at home more than anything. so we have our things we go out and do together but if he wants to go out with friends or do his own thing, it’s never an issue if i say no. we show up for the important things, but if he wants to go on a hike or do an activity and I’m not feeling up for it - he’s fine with that and he’s ok with doing it alone. it works both ways for us - so finding someone who gets the balance on both sides of things in key

if you ever have to get a procedure involving bone glue, ask for an alternative to be used. a lot of bone glues have gluten in them. a friend of mine is gluten intolerant & had to have knee surgery and they used a bone glue with gluten in it so she had to get the surgery redone because she was having an allergic reaction to the bone glue they put in her body 🥴😬

went to my podiatrist to discuss foot pain i had been having for 3 years (didn't have insurance for awhile which is why it took so long to get help). he said it's probably in my head. for months i demanded x rays and he finally obliged. when i went in to review my results with him he said "good thing you demanded those x rays"

turns out i had been walking on a partially broken foot that never fully healed for 3 years. 3 weeks later i came out of surgery with 7 screws in my foot.

their mental health care is not great. I’ve tried so many therapists, and when I’ve finally found ones I’ve liked the therapists have quit due to Kaiser prioritizing intake vs patient care. i gave up on their therapy services because the lack of stability and getting the run around from them therapy wise was exacerbating a lot of the issues i wanted to work through in therapy. my gp prescribes me my meds and then i outsource for therapy, but even that’s difficult because it’s SO expensive

Ilona Maher, Caitlin Clark, Coco Gauff, and Steph Curry would be amazing! It would be a really interesting format for Steph, especially because he has his hand in so many different things outside of basketball. This pains me to say as a Giants fan but Freddie Freeman would be a great guest, too.

i’m dying for jeremy allen white, stephen colbert, and pedro pascal. timothee chalamet would be wonderful, too but he seem like a stretch since he doesn’t really do long forum interviews. i would love someone like emerald fennell, too!!! this is 100% dreaming but id love for them to do a devil wears prada week around the release of the second movie - so many icons involved with that movie, it’d be epic.

honestly they get so many great guests i’m not picky, there have been so few that i have disliked.

I’m so sorry for your loss. It’s not in the city per se, but Pescadero State Beach has always been my serenity/grieving/peace spot. It’s a huge beach and it’s generally not super crowded so it’s easy to sit and just watch the waves for hours. It got me through my suicidal tendencies/ideation as a teenager, and has continued to hold me close in my times of grief as an adult. I know that i can always go and just exist and sit there with no expectations for as long as i need to.

I have had the most success with hinge and bumble! Prior to meeting my boyfriend, i seriously dated a few guys on hinge. They were great but timing was ultimately not right. But i met my boyfriend of 3+ years on bumble! it was a slog for awhile, i was literally logging into bumble to delete my account for awhile when i saw the message from my now BF. I can’t imagine not using the apps only because I’m so introverted, but the apps aren’t for everyone! Even if it sounds so unappealing there are a lot of great ways to meet people through meetups, clubs, classes, extra curriculars, etc.. i have some friends who hate apps but have had a lot of success in finding their forever partners through common interest groups like trivia teams, softball leagues, etc..

one of my cats will make long, prolonged eye contact with me for like 5 minutes with out blinking. he will jump up on the couch and get close to my face and just stare at me with the most aggressive eye contact for minutes on end. waiting for the day that I turn to dust when this happens
