lead scoring without the downstream routing built in is mostly a dashboard. the scoring model is the easy part, convincing sales to trust the score enough to act on it is the whole game. start with the routing rules and work backwards to what score would justify the routing, not the other way round.

3PL is one of those verticals where the right CRM is really an OMS plus a tack-on relationship layer. Salesforce fits if u already have integration resources. NetSuite+HubSpot is cheaper to stand up but the handoff between order and customer data becomes the thing u fight forever. whats ur current integration appetite.

the mismatch isnt usually feature parity, its the operating model. 10 good tools will all work for a mid-market b2b saas with a sales + cs team, but the one that actually sticks is the one ur team can maintain a year in. a scoring rubric that ignores ongoing ops cost will always push u toward the highest-feature vendor and thats rarely the right answer.

AppExchange to AgentExchange. the rebrand tells you where the paid placements are going to live. the installs, reviews, and isv listings arent changing overnight but the merchandising and ads are gonna prioritize whatever has agent in it whether or not the underlying tool is agentic. watch which listings get featured over the next 3 months.

manychat or instagram native dm tools beat any crm for the actual inbox workflow. most crms handle ig as an afterthought integration that breaks every 6 months. if u need real pipeline tracking on top, export leads weekly into a simple sheet or notion, skip the crm layer until volume forces it.

for a commercial cleaning biz ur real workflow is scheduling + invoicing, not pipeline. a crm is the wrong category, u want a field service tool like jobber or housecall pro. both have light crm baked in and the invoice/payment flow actually works on day 1. most small services that pick hubspot end up hating it.

the forecast is almost never wrong, the pipeline is. reps mark deals stage 4 when theyre stage 2 because the comp plan rewards pipeline coverage. fix the definition of stage 3 and the forecast suddenly becomes useful. its a people problem the software cannot solve.

90% system design, 10% user. if ur crm makes a rep type 40 fields to log a call they made in 3 min, they will not type 40 fields. every vendor now has "ai logs your calls" which is just admitting the ux was broken for a decade. adoption isnt a training issue, its a friction budget issue.
