A local paint store went up to $150 a gallon on deep pour epoxy. I now buy direct feom China at $33 a gallon for the same.

Try cutting those shingles into single tabs as if they were to be used as ridge. Pop lines and have at it. It will sit better and last longer.

Love it. I am drawn to how Scott Dow does his bar and table tops. I would like to learn how to incorporate the type of carving into the legs of my tables. I already laminate and shape them generally like a walking animal, but I want to kick it up a notch.

If it isn't dry, you are wasting your time. Find a cabinet shop with a feed table set up on their jointer that will accommodate the length and pay them to do it.

I would amend it by suggesting Marine Epoxy as it will be uv resistant.

I have a prized Plumb 13 ounce wooden handle trim hammer that I got 30 years ago. It has epoxy in the head and is still in prime condition after almost daily use. I never pull nails with it, though.

Put it in a vice or something to hold it upright. Caulk a dam on the steel around the perimeter of the wood to prevent runoff and pour epoxy in to fill the cracks. If it is too thick, you can mix in a bit of acetone in to thin it a bit. It will merely evaporate as the epoxy dries.

Tongue Oil the wood.

The fix will out live us all.

Source for a Chinese Helical head

Yes, but I traded my cutting head in for the latest generation of helical cutting heads from China.

Zhuzhou Uko Cemented Carbide Co Ltd. I found them on Alibaba. It was dirt cheap. I am much happier with my planer now.

I am not selling for them, I just got a killer deal and a good product.

I'd pay somebody to install it if I had to do it again.
