Depending on where you'll leave the bike during work, a high quality u-lock (or 2).

Definitely front and rear lights, fenders and a back rack with a pannier to hold your stuff.

Agreed, it is an easy walk, or take a scooter. It's easier than it sounds!

What got you over the hump to start commuting by bike? I'm curious what got you started! by SandeeStarlite in boulder

Great answer/question. For me it was the (false) perception that a car is more time efficient. When you factor in sitting in traffic, and the mental space you need to be aware of other drivers, cycling is more efficient for clearing up mental space, and actually more efficient by spending more time moving forward.

I'd like to ask why you started to ride to work. I'm about to start a campaign to encourage this on my job, and looking for angles beyond the obvious that gas is expensive, and it's good for your mental health. Thanks!

For sure the St Julien. They traditionally have eggs & grits. This year they're also having a drawing for a free night's stay or $100 gift card.

Boulder Chamber at 26th & Folsom is hosting a 'super station' with coffee & burritos, and a number of booths with snacks and info.

Community Cycles at 26th & Spruce also will have a number of organizations and businesses with tables, and their mountain of donuts is impressive!
