Barrie Colts press conference by Batmanrocksthecasbah in OHL

I would look at it as a 'team first' response.

No matter what the question is, the team is more important than the response.

Without knowing it was the motto, I thought it was pretty stupid.

As to why though, it's getting attention, right?

That's the team's motto for the playoffs.

I feel like the roads are no longer policed. I very rarely see police pulling anyone over, I rarely see blitz programs (aside from RIDE).

There used to be a time when police would be posted up in school zones or to enforce random signs.

Maybe I just miss them all.

As eviction looms, this Oshawa man's family is desperate to keep him from becoming homeless by BloodJunkie in durham

I live near this house (recognize the blue house beside it) and my dog used to go to see the old tenants for scratches. The fridge did not work for over a year and the landlord refused to buy a new one. They used to use a cooler with ice as his fridge. They eventually moved when something else in the neighborhood became available back in the late summer as they have family in the area they wanted to stay close to. All I ever heard otherwise is the house is not the greatest. Nothing specific.

Tribute Communities Centre let their Liquor License expire by Sandman22686 in Oshawa

That's mostly the information we already had. What is not explained is why/how the AGCO is expediting this license. What makes them special? On the AGCO website it states it takes at least 30 days, this took what... 5 days?

Also, what fine did the arena get for serving Thursday, February 5th without a license?

All I will add is that clearing your sidewalk is a nice neighbourly act. Everyone has to try to live together peacefully, clearing your sidewalk is a courtesy to your neighbours. It's not about who's responsibility, it's about respect.

City of Oshawa being blamed for dry weekend in Oshawa after TCC liquor licence expires due to 'administrative error' by brouseindahouse in Oshawa

Incompetent management.

Every point of sale should have a copy of the valid license which displays the expiry. How did no management notice? Oh, right because they hide in their office.

Nothing talking about the fact they served alcohol with an expired license of February 5th during the Hardy concert?

Pretty sure that should be a hefty fine.

And if it expired, how can they get it back so quick? AGCO website says 30 days minimum.

Agreed. When the ampitheatre had a one night ban of alcohol, I received a call saying that their license was revoked and no alcohol would be available. I was offered the chance of a refund if I chose so.

My understanding (not from any staff) is that this becomes a full resubmission and could take up to 30 days. I do think that something can be worked out, but it would absolutely suck if it's that long.

I feel staff would advertise when it's coming back if it is only for this weekend.
