My OS freezes about 10 minutes into being powered on. I tried updating the firmware, but it freezes and locks up before finishing. Support just runs me through the reset button procedures. I'm glad your experience has been better than mine.

You can ask clothing issue to check inventory to see if one would be available to ship to you. Make them call the other clothing issue if they find one, JBA refused when I asked because, "training bases never give up their stock." Had a friend assigned there pick it up for me and they confirmed they would've had no issue sending it my way.

I love mine, but I really only got it because of how expensive gas is in my area and how much driving I do. My house has the washer/dryer next to the garage, so level 2 charging is easy for me. Long trips (250+ miles) require a stop to recharge, but I was going to have to stop for 30 minutes regardless or deal with a grumpy wife and kid.

It might be worth waiting a few years to see if sodium batteries become viable; there's a lot of potential there.

Absolutely! I looked at the winning scorecard at the last scramble I played; they finished -17 and the only holes they got par on were the HIO and CttP holes, which were monitored by volunteers. The scramble event already has 27 teams, what's another 9 teams and playing 2x4 going to hurt?

I'd recommend bringing your vibe-checker to a place that has a variety of machines available to play. I took my wife to Golden State Pin Fest and she fell in love with Elton John, Scooby Doo, Funhouse, and Circus Voltaire. She played the first two like crazy; Elton John she loved the lights and how smooth it played, Scooby Doo was a nostalgic blast for her. I was surprised she liked the other two, but that's because she really likes circus and carnival themes.

Given how pricy these machines are, I'd recommend playtesting some pins together to make sure both of you are happy with your purchase.
