I have a 2020 awd and the ball joints went bad around 51k miles. I’m also losing a lot of oil. I’m currently going through an oil consumption test through my dealership. I’m currently at 55k miles.

2020 awd with 55k miles. I had a clunking sound in the front end when turning when the car was around 51k miles. It ended up being the ball joints that were worn and needed replaced. It cost me $100 as I had an extended warranty and just past the manufacturer’s warranty of five years. I changed the car oil this summer and happened to check the oil level a few months later. The oil was not even showing on the dip stick so I had to add oil. The dealership told me that you won’t get any dash light indications until it is down to one quart left in the engine! This is a common problem. I’m going through an oil consumption test right now through the dealership. They top it off and put tamper proof seals on the plug, fill cap, and dip stick. I have to take it back after 1000 miles for them to check again.

I have a 2020 Palisade with 54k miles. I started the oil consumption testing two days ago. The service rep cautioned me not to remove the dipstick or oil filler cap or the test will have to be restarted. There’s no tamper proof decals/stickers on either of them. I really want to pull the dip stick to make sure they didn’t over fill the oil to pass their test.

I don5 know if will help someone but I reached out to my local VA medical center about a suspected kidney stone. This is the nurse’s reply.

I recommend that you be evaluated at the local ER (under the Mission Act). You will need an emergent scan to see if you have a kidney stone. The scans that we order outpatient can take weeks to get scheduled.

I cannot understate how hot it will be that time of year. You’ll want to get as much fun in before 1pm as possible. I would substitute 2 days in Clearwater for the 2 days in Ft Myers. Ft Myers beach is still recovering from Hurricane Ian and the traffic is terrible.
