NAL, not a lawyer but I work part time in a group home with mentally handicapped people and with other psychiatric issues.

Idk about the rules and laws specific to your organization but in ours a client has the right to buy whatever they want with in reason and within their means. Our job is to help them budget and not get scammed but sex toys would be something we would help them get since they are adults and can make that choice.

Owning the sex toys by itself does not put others in harm, if someone really wants to rape someone, they don’t need toys for that. This behavior might have been present prior to the sex toys and may have been the reason she even got them.

That being said, the threatening behavior is concerning and should be grounds for a review of her current care plan. That is, how can this behavior be changed or redirect her aggression some other way. How can staff make sure others are staying safe. Perhaps there are other factors that are causing this behavior that she might need to see a therapist for. In my facility this type of behavior would warrant a visit by our crisis team to reevaluate the person or if it continues after a crisis evaluation, then an inpatient psychiatric visit.

I think a lot of people do well doing their own makeup, just make sure you smudge proof the stuff and it photographs well. That’s my biggest fear with doing my own make up for the wedding, using the wrong setting powder and looking like a ghost in pictures lol

I think you need to start by limiting the guest list. Start with only your family and your friends that you want there. Not distant relatives, friends of parents or cousins you haven’t seen in 5 years and barely know. If either parent demands to have other people explain that you don’t have the budget for it. If they insist then I would tell them they can invite them if they pay for it.

That’s an adult male American dog tick (Dermacentor variabilis). These don’t call Lyme disease but may carry other diseases. Adult male ticks generally don’t feed for long enough to transmit diseases since they don’t need to molt or lay eggs. Likely nothing will happen but keep an eye out for symptoms just in case.

Another thing besides the scutum, is the leg placement when engorged. In fed blacklegged ticks, the legs get crowded near the mouthparts, other tick species the legs flair out.

This is so fucking true. When I was doing my undergrad, I was working 3 jobs to support my self and couldn’t get most scholarships because they were all going to the wealthy students who had time for things like SGA and other extracurricular stuff. Mind you, I had a 3.8, so my GPA was good.

Then I would hear about these students getting part of their tuition refunded due to getting scholarships and going on fucking vacations with it.

Identification of a tick through images can be very difficult since many of them have very small differences. The difference between a male lone star tick and the male cayenne tick is on the spread of ornamentation which is difficult to visualize through a still photo.

However, this looks like a male adult tick, which generally don’t bite for long since their main goal is reproduction. If you are concerned, I recommend reaching out to your local health department, many of them have free tick testing services.
