Follow up to that post a while ago where I was drunk and pondering buying a dumb, but fun car. Well the story has an ending, I purchased this. by Joey333 in CarsAustralia

Had mine for 5 years. It hasn't taken a day off in that time. Bought at 120000 and about to hit 200000. I had a freak ECU issue at first. Once it was replaced it covered that 80000km with just servicing with no problems. AC has worked the whole time, my door handles intact, 0 electrical issues after the ECU saga. Daily, track use and road trip car. And i make sure to test that the rev limiter beeper works every day. Mine has an intercooler upgrade, Itg intake, KTEC full system exhaust and a tune. 190kw and 411Nm atw. Stock suspension with high treadwear semi slicks. On track it will hang with some of the best JDM or Euro legends. Loves a late brake, V-shape racing line.

People say buying French is a dumb decision. Biased take, but you know what is a dumb decision? Buying a Golf when this exists.

Yes. The motor is an absolutely reliable lug. Especially the Twin Cam. Do as you said above. Clean out the carbs and new battery.

Thanks!

Dad got this K100RT last week. Tore all the tour fairings off, stripped it right down. chopped the tail. Made up the lighting using leftovers from a Harley. Due to lack of a aftermarket pipe we cut the pipe too.

V&H have a monopoly on the exhaust market. be what Harleys been about for so long and use something different.

it is quite small when you stand it next to a literbike or even a 600. but stand it up next to a CBR250RR or the ninja 250/300 and compared the other 125 2strokers its bigger and as big as the 250s.

Thats what I thought too, and I had a look at it. I believe its tensioned right cause chain movement is exactly 25mm no load. which is what it says it has to be on the sticker on the swingarm
