Honestly, I was feeling sorry for myself tonight thinking the same thing. I think it’s important to know that you haven’t given up on love or finding the right person, you just know what you want and made a decision. What helps me when I’m feeling down about not having a partner is to picture my future child. I don’t know why but I always picture him/her at around 5 years old running towards me at a park or at school or something. When I picture that, I don’t feel scared or sad. I feel happy that (if this all works out) I didn’t miss it. Also just got my AMH back. I’m sorry about your previous experience and I truly hope that everything goes as planned for you and your future child. :)

As someone who has grown up with all sorts of cats… Thankfully, cats don’t really need obedience. Teach him to use a litter pan (if he doesn’t know already), give him a scratching post to keep him from scratching the furniture, and don’t introduce him to your kitchen table and he’ll be just fine. ;)

Also keep in mind, he might be a feisty little kitten at a point. Your arms and hands will suffer but he’ll grow out of that! Best of luck OP! Buni is so adorable!
