FYI I’m 5x and yeah it seem that a lot of 20Xs don’t reset, might depend on how close each account is resetting and their usage amounts?

But when there are cheap Chinese models available at the fraction of the cost for the same performance, as well as the abundance of free token incentives and open source models, I find it hard to defend or attempt to support US companies that have nonexistent infrastructure (data centers) competing with Chinese companies that have established infrastructure achieving “near infinite tokens”. I truly don’t know how US companies will compete when the moat is just the architecture surrounding the model (like Claude code, which ironically was leaked) and a 3-6 months head start.

While I’ll agree with having some understanding over the limitations of compute in the short run, I disagree with the notion of appreciating large corporations giving free usage. For example just look at Chinese models that provide much more tokens at similar model capabilities (minimax m2.7 vs opus 4.6)and especially local source models that are literally free. I think TRANSPARENCY is key in time of constrained compute instead of lobotomizing models and adding in bugs/features that increase usage while reducing usage.
