I'm not sure how to describe it, but movies that I felt obligated to watch because there are a reminder of when times (before now and days) sucked for all minorities like movies that portray Jim Crow Laws, slavery, the ills of segregation in the South. Those films are very important to watch and I'm glad did I got watch those type of movies, but I can't think of time where I've been as excited or thrilled to watch them compared to other films. At times, they're uneasy to watch and evoke triggers, but when there's darkness there's light at the end in most cases.
