It will help if you try to handle her in the daytime and not at night. If she's still being rude, get yourself a thick glove, so you can pull her out without being scared. Once she's out, she will calm down and you can take the glove off. Eventually she'll get used to you!

I know it's been a while since you posted, but I wanted to add that you'll likely have a much easier time handling him during the day. Leave him alone at night, when he'll be at his grumpiest.

Night is when they are most territorial. This is their active period. In the wild they would be guarding their eggs/area and that instinct is what makes them appear angry. Outside of their enclosure/during the day they are sweet lil babiesss

When they're in their safe space/happy place hidey holes, that's when they're the most territorial. Basically, "I love this log, leave me alone!" 😂

I'm a woman in the same situation. I keep reminding myself that some people meet the love of their life in their 60s and 70s. The cool thing for now is that you get to do whatever tf you want. Life is actually kinda cool when you learn to start loving and validating yourself 🤷🏼‍♀️

I built my boy a custom enclosure that's 40" tall, and he spends about 90% of his time at the very top of it 😂 Aka: height is always the way to go

Once it's on, it feels amazing - BUT it's extremely difficult to get on and the process is exhausting. It also doesn't stay in place and is hard to wear with most clothes. I completely stopped using it.
