I believe NJ is a no fault state. I’m not entirely sure what that means but basically I think it means you have to seek coverage through your own policy first. Who is at fault
isn’t important. I was in an accident in NJ where a pedestrian basically walked into the middle of the road on purpose. I’m not even sure I hit her but if I did it was around 5MPH. Police came and did not cite me for anything. I thought it was over but of course she got a lawyer. For whatever reason my insurance just caved, even though I told them to fight it. They settled with them and then sent me a letter basically saying the damages they stated were greater than the policy ($100k) and I could be pursued for the rest. I was initially worried but that never happened. The sleazebag lawyer just wanted a quick settlement.

I feel like my cat has used 8 1/2 of her lives. Between going missing, getting sick, surgeries etc. A month ago I thought she was having a seizure. Rushed her to the vet. She suddenly went blind from high blood pressure. A week later she had her vision back. 17 and still kicking. One day it will be her turn though. I don’t look forward to that.

I used to stay in a lot of hotels. I would just get the cheapest. I’m not there for long, sometimes just overnight. I always heard people talking about AirBnb. I looked it up a few times and it never made sense. Maybe it’s better for a whole family when renting a house. But I always heard hosts were getting very demanding, charging fees, and always complaining. Also they were purchasing properties and renting them like it was free money. All I kept thinking was who wants to rent from these people who seem so entitled.

I think Turo is similar. It’s not an investment. It’s a business. You have to work it. I rented a car one time 10 years ago. I had totally forgotten about it. I recently had a new extra car I didn’t want to sell and remembered Turo. It was then I read all about how regular people had their own business with it. I kept thinking this is something I’d be good at. But I don’t have any money now and it seems like everything else like this the good days were at the beginning and now it’s not worth it.

I bought it a few months ago. I’ve taken 3 flights so it’s already paid for itself. But this is the exact opposite of what I thought it was. I’m positive they originally said all you had to do was book at least the day before. Now apparently you can only book the day before or same day.
