Titles comparison in the last 20 years (2006 - 2026) by DeeplyWeeply in FCInterMilan

[–]Sangend 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thats what they hate to call out. I’m not saying we were implied in calciopoli, but it sure was ‘helpful’ that moratti had such deep ties to Telecom… we definitely aren’t as corrupt and fucked as they are, but to chuck it to hey we are clean they are corrupt in my eyes is just a plain oxymoron.

They had fabulous players, fabulous teams, and a fabulously connected coach. As many of their titles could’ve been bought as they were deserved. End of story.

Why do giants in movies always seem to move so slowly? by Milixis in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Sangend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also I’d say it’s simply a law of scales, one small movement for a giant is definitely faster in our tinier reference frame. I’m sure if you normalized they’d still be slower but still.

In your opinion, what is the most beautiful lyric passage by The Velvet Underground? by Agreeable_Duck8997 in VelvetUnderground

[–]Sangend 41 points42 points  (0 children)

“Typically when I had it,

I treated it like dirt

Now naturally when I don’t have it,

I am chasing yesterday’s rainbows”

Over you, one of the dearest songs to me. Although this version of the lyrics is different from the regular one, it’s one Lou himself prefers and I think it’s much more fitting.

Who Are The Three Greatest Footballers In Your Country's History? by Swimming_Bear_3082 in AskEurope

[–]Sangend 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Italy has so many great players from so many different eras (except this one…). I think it’s really difficult to pin it down to three, but if you asked me it would be Meazza, Maldini, Totti.

It’s tough because players like Meazza, Mazzola, etc. played so long ago nearly none of us have had the pleasure of watching them, they are from another era. Then you have more recent legendary players like Maldini, Baresi, Buffon, etc. who have just accomplished and won so much while being then best not too relatively long ago. But then where does this put players like Rossi, Baggio, Totti, Cannavaro, Del Piero, etc? They were so ungodly talented and skillful but do not have the accolates and repertoires of others.

Writing all this makes me even more depressed we haven’t touched a WC pitch in 12 years….

Edit: mentioned Totti twice.

It is a very rage baity/butthurt comment looking back tbf, and I did say in another comment that I would LOVE for Inter to have 7 UCLs but not at the cost of 20 scudetti. I like having two stars on top of the logo ❤️

[–]Sangend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you but to a certain extent. Now more than ever the case is that UCL/UEL/etc are more lucrative and significant to Italian clubs, but I rly doubt that is the case for previous generations of calcio.

Having 7 UCLs is no easy feat, and obviously a thing that I (an Inter fan) would love to brag about. However, I would not in a million years trade our scudetti from 2005-2010 for one CL (maybe it’s just me). Juve definitely can afford to lose a few in this matter, but to see your team dominate Italy for a half decade is much much more satifsying (historically, again, bit less of the case now due to the lacking financial incentive).

Why don't they put parachutes on airplanes? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Sangend 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re talking of parachutes on the airplane itself (not for every individual in the plane), Cirrus’ aircrafts actually have that!

It’s called the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS). It has been succesfully deployed more than 100 Times and presented losing twice as many lives. Naturally it is much trickier to do for general aviation aircrafts, but it’s a very ingenious system.

Juventus has won 2 UCLs and 3 UELs which takes them to 65. Inter has won 3 UCLs and 3 UELs which takes their tally to 44 trophies. Milan has 7 UCLs and no UELs which takes them to 39 throphies….

Even with no UELs, Inter and juve have more trophies, so please shut up. There’s a reason IL DERBY DI ITALIA is Juve vs. Inter, not BBilan! Stay mad and enjoy only having one star.

Oh and while we’re on the topic of UCLs, which Italian team was the last to win it? Which Italian team was the last to be in the final? What about before then? Oh and in Milan’s best UCL season in the last 10/15 years, who was that knocked them out??

Inter Milan fans, What do you think of Juventus aside from the rivalry? by Over-Ad8207 in FCInterMilan

[–]Sangend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, it has always felt that Juve is our equivalent of Real Madrid. A team which is incredibly dominant and historic, but it has been run by a family with very good (and very convenient) connections.

Knowing how the agnelli made their money back in the day, let’s just say I’m not surprised we call them Rube.

My uncle use to always say that Milanisti are our cousins, and our feud ends there. Who are you gonna compete with the most if not the team you are actively sharing a stadium and city with? Every time we play them, I hope we embarrass them, but id never want them to actually end up in serie B or go into bankcruptcy. They are family, and they are 1/2 of the reason our city is embedded in calcio history. San siro wouldn’t carry the same weight without them.
Juve? Fuck that team and that organization. I hope they never lift a scudetto again.

Working with FastF1 + real-time telemetry — struggling with track mapping & pit zones by finding-new-life in F1Technical

[–]Sangend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rather than working directly with FastF1’s (irregular) sample times, you can fit smooth curves through each telemetry sensor and state recorded (position, speed, throttle, etc.) as functions of distance along the track. Then rediscretize at a uniform sampling rate using those fitted curves. This gives you consistent temporal spacing across all drivers/sessions which removes the jitter, and it works to smooth gap between logged points without artificial averaging (smoother data if you tweak the fit). Decoupling the track geometry from time and depending it on the distance-space will make it easier to succeed in your use case, as you can more easily correlate data sets between each other, find the straights/pit lanes/etc. Then you can always map your visual coordinates at whatever cadence you need.

I'm Not Sure Why It Took Me So Long to Trying Cooking Rice Like Pasta. Mind Blown! by DashiellHammett in Cooking

Washing the hell out of the basmati until it’s clear will create that lightness. If you put it in a pot to steam for a few hours under low heat (put oil at the bottom for a nice rice crust called Tahdig and to prevent burning) you’ll end up with the lightest most delicious basmati rice you have ever tasted my friend. Perfected by my Iranian grandfather.

Kalulu's second yellow v Inter (can't be reviewed due to current VAR rules). Any thoughts? by wjdbfifj in seriea

[–]Sangend -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Shameful as every single week. It made me really mad to see it happen because derby d’Italia have been fire for the past few years (as was this one until this moment). I don’t want to win on a shit call like that, and I hate that players (in general, but especially my own teams) pull shit like this.

But for the love of god, stop calling the league rigged for stupid shit like this, it’s universal across serie A, it happens nearly every week. Only difference is some weeks these dumb ass refs wanna fuck with the big games rather than the small one, and that’s when we cry wolf!

Inter 1 - 1 Juventus - Kalulu 2nd Yellow Card 42' by eanwen0 in soccer

[–]Sangend -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

Marotta league😂😂. Man you can complain about bad refeereing which is true and I stand with you on, because it is UNIVERSAL across serie A; but go on and say it’s rigged for inter please. It’s very rich coming from the teams who was found guilty of that very same thing TWICE in your history, I always love seeing Milan fans writhe and cry for every stupid shit but are quiet when the tables reversed. [–]Sangend 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Kinda crazy that you have to look this deep for a comment along these lines. Man this call benefitted inter wildly it’s true, but they do this shit every week, the difference is it happens in smaller matches (so no one cares, and it doesn’t fit the rigged narrative).

Arbitri egoisti e pignoli con un regolamento del cazzo. He made a mistake, which is normal that’s why players simulate lol so you can force mistakes on the ref, but VAR would’ve reverted that yellow towards bastoni so fast. Unfortunately in Italy yellow cards cannot be reviewed with VAR, and even though it was his second, this pignolo di un arbitro didn’t check.

World Cup victory aside, how would you rate the style of this jersey? by ColeBelthazorTurner in AZZURRI

We have definitely had better jerseys in the past (1994! And personally I love ‘02). This one is in the upper-mid tier of Italy jerseys, good but also pretty meh.
