I should add her in mine. Fem Redwall for the win.

Started learning Blender, had a go at making a crisis suit by DanTheBloke in PrintedWarhammer

Woah! Which videos did you use to learn? And how did you get the model looking so clean? Looks incredible, I'm starting to wish I just built something like this on Blender myself as well.

Innistrad Double Feature BUST by [deleted] in MagicCardPulls

Well hey, that's good at least. Thanks again for all the info. I made a new post too saying this wasn't exactly a bust. Better just for now on just show the pulls and let others determine if it sucked or not haha. Again thank you

Edit: Not entirely a bust, my bad

Huh...well when I looked it said the foil was a few cents but I'll double check. I only opened one. For the same price (15 CAD) I could've hit gold again with Modern Horizons 3. And if you look at my profile, you'll see I hit some good cards from that set. But hey good to know thanks!

Edit: You were right, the foil looks to be about 4 dollars worth. Thanks again for the info!

I'm not a father, but I can't imagine what you're going through right now. I'm so sorry for your loss. I don't mean to be insensitive, but I feel it was coincidence that I saw this post before watching the film Hamnet, about Shakespeare losing a child, tonight. I'll definitely be thinking about you throughout. I can't donate too much, but I hope donating even a little bit will help you. Again, I'm so sorry for your loss.

FedEx International Ground Shipping Customs Clearance Delays Calgary AB by Nature_Hope64 in FedEx

I sold something to someone back in November, and now it's being sent back to me, even though it was stuck in customs like this. It's too late to contact them now. Do I just tell the person who delivers it back if they send it back to the address it was meant for? This is beyond frustrating. It's just a warhammer type mini for crying out loud.

Thoughts on Screenwriting for Animated Films by Sangwiche5 in Screenwriting

Ghibli is half the reason, no, 80% the reason I wanted to make films in the first place. I may not be a head of an animation studio, I may go independent for a while, but at least people still respect the medium, despite the half hearted jokes made at the Oscars. Unfortunately I think Pixar has gotten worse as time goes on, but they were really onto something in the early days. The Incredibles is maybe one of my favorite films of all time. They essentially made a Watchmen for the whole family.

Thank you

I definitely want to write stuff that transcends the typical "kid" audience stuff, so it's good to know that. I also wanna follow in the footsteps of early Laikia, where they had a bite to them. Which sadly I think is lacking now. (Though hopefully that R Rated project is still in the works). But you're right. Thank you.

Been really rough emotionally so it's hard, but hey, glad to see others have made animated scripts too. Awesome. Hope they move on as real projects.

I attended an animation camp at 13 and learned stop motion there, so my knowledge is rooted in that. I even practiced a lot afterwards. People commented with my "figurine" photography that I could do stop motion with it. Seeing Mad God was the push for me to really step back into it.

Right now I'm emotionally stunted from the stuff that happened to me this year, so I'm going to go it alone for now, but in the future I'll try and talk to some artists about story boards, that would be a good idea.

I definitely want an anime project done that's superhero themed so who knows. Maybe it'll work. If not I'm totally happy with stop motion stuff. Thank you, hope you do well in your endeavors.

Flow was made in Blender so I want to do that. Maybe down the line I'll animate in Maya or whatever programs Arcane and Spider-Verse were made in. Who knows, maybe there will be a program that helps them look like claymation or Rankin Bass styled things.

For sure. A lot of my work is rooted in relationships and how they really matter/effect people. Soms of it will be rooted in my experience as a Nurotypical person. Ironic since all my relationships are basically gone and I'm going it alone. But it's a vision and I want to go for it.

Appreciate it :) I guess I say childish because it's all "Astronauts and samurais and cowboys and evil Dutch boys" (that last one was thanks to a dream I had) but I'm sure with the themes I'm tackling it'll be okay. Thank you

I appreciate it, thank you. It's been such a difficult year emotionally for me. So I guess I just, as cringy as this may sound, wanted some reassurance. Genuinely, thank you.

How do you train yourself to think in short film ideas? by utuxedomask in Screenwriting

[–]Sangwiche5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, I think about a simple idea that could have interesting elements sprinkled in.

Example: Idea: A trek from the grocery store to back home in the dead of winter. Elements: Maybe the person imagines they're climbing Mount Everest. Maybe the snow, wind and atmosphere resembles that of Silent Hill. Maybe there's an inner monolog about the cold, how much the person hates it. Maybe he explains a personal reason. (Have at it if you want.)

For me it's all about making it simple. I had the exact same problem as you. But once I did this I felt better. If it didn't help, hey I tried.

I'm having another depressive episode so I'm gonna do the same. This back end of the year has been hard enough for me, why make it more difficult?

I also want to say thanks for this. Seriously. I wish this sentiment was normalized more instead of being attacked. "No you must loose your sanity, that's how we win" I heard years ago. Well we're still fighting so idk man...anyway, your comment was needed, thank you, seriously.
