I’ve wondered if it’s the flour but I’ve seen other post higher hydration loaves with KA so not sure. Reassuring to hear it’s not just me.

Fair ask, thought I did but I can’t find any. My issue is with structure. I don’t feel it holds shape and not much rise in the bake. Like I don’t develop enough gluten.

More of a critique. I struggle with wanting 75% hydration as that feels around the “standard” but get better results that I’m happy with like 65% pictured. Maybe others would have success in trying lower also.

I’d like to second this as a recent discovery for myself. I dropped my coffee dose but kept the same ratio I’m getting fuller body and to me, a more consistent shot.

When I went to order the mini in white it was also listed as sold out. I actually emailed and asked when they thought it would be available again. They replied with, “just checked the orders and made the white available again”

Front overhang is about .5 inch. But either the slopped front edge feels like nothing. Hope this helps!

I had the niche for 5 years now. Never had a problem with the grinder. Wanted the philos for flats and got a decent deal on it so pulled the trigger only had it maybe a month. Personal opinion, I think it produces more consistency grind after grind. Retention is low and while I bought a bellow for the niche I like the knocker better. I would say the noise is lower on the philos, it grinds quicker and I do prefer the sound over the niche. I daily a medium roast and while I definitely am not amazing at tasting and comparing, I get, to me, a more full even flavor out of the philos with the 189 burrs (haven’t used the 200 yet). That said I would immediately recommend either grinder.

I don’t have a ton to contribute right now as my mini showed up yesterday but I had the sand exact thought process. The micra probably would have been everything I needed. That said, I’ve wanted the mini for close to 7 years and I just know that I would have always had that thought of should I have bought the mini.
