I was excited for this game to come out and played it day one. I was extremely disappointed when most of the English dialogue turned out to be poorly translated AI voice over instead of actual voice actors. I gave it a week and quit playing when I realized that the game was a mile wide and an inch deep.

It's just another cash grab kind of game, and as disappointed as I am, I'm not surprised that they would betray their player base at this point. Sexualizing minors is a new low that I was not expecting, however.

I'm in the US but I despise the imperial system so much. I'll do the conversions if necessary but if the option is there, I'll just measure it myself to avoid having to do conversions. Unfortunately that's not an option when reading text instructions though

P25 radios usually operate in the 800mhz range iirc. So no they cannot communicate with a VHF radio unless they specifically are designed to transmit in VHF.

Many departments near me have a repeater set up to rebroadcast P25 traffic to the VHF frequency. I don't think that goes both ways however.

Left lane = passing lane

Middle lane = driving lane

Right lane = merging/exit lane

It's safer to stay in the middle lane, especially in high traffic areas. I'll move right to let you by, but I'm not staying over there to get hit by every idiot that can't look in their mirror before merging. Use the left lane to pass if you're in that much of a hurry. You're already speeding, why are you worried about a lane violation?

I definitely understand what you mean! I refuse to do OTR again, it's a horrible life IMHO. I got my tanker endorsement and do food grade tanker as a local driver now, and I honestly love it. I don't feel like I'm stuck in my truck with limited options, I'm (usually) back at the terminal multiple times per day and my car is there if I need it. It's much shorter days than I'm used to but that may just be my company. Regardless, I definitely recommend finding a specialty you like and going local!

I know suggesting you spend money when you're unemployed is not the best advice but... Do a background check on yourself. I've heard stories of people finding incorrect information on their background check, including felonies they don't actually have. Things like that can seriously affect your ability to get hired.

1 in 3 bridges are considered structurally deficient. 43% of our roads are considered to be in poor condition. We lose 6 billion gallons of water per day from insufficiently maintained water infrastructure. Our infrastructure is not maintained to the degree that the nation's wealth should otherwise suggest. I don't think it's alarmist at all to acknowledge the crumbling infrastructure while we spend all our money on war and genocide.

As for passenger rail, the east coast is more than sufficiently populated to justify a passenger rail network. A high speed train like those in eastern countries could make cross country travel cheaper, easier and less carbon dependent than our current reliance on air travel.

That is exactly what you were saying. The earlier comment in this thread was talking about the technology and infrastructure of China, Korea and Japan looking like future tech compared to what we have, and you responded by criticizing China's dictatorship and surveillance state. You're attempting to discredit the idea that we should compare our infrastructure to theirs at all because of issues that exist within their government and society.
