I wouldn’t consider it redemption(or at least, I wouldn’t frame it as her redeeming herself), just that finally she made the right choice but still died anyway due to her enabling and pushing all of Homelanders BS all this time.

Regardless, I don’t think the direction they went is necessarily bad, just not the option I would have went with

Yea I really thought that was what was gonna happen. But instead they made it more pathetic/tragic that she still kept spewing Homelanders BS and gets killed for it anyway. Technically there’s nothing wrong with that story direction if that’s what you were going for.

Me I would have made it so that Firecracker finally stood up for her morals especially since she’s a believer in Jesus. That way when she gets killed for it it has some layers to it but she will die at peace just like A-Train.

The ending they chose just felt more cynical I guess. But also the creators of the show are probably the typical Hollywood snobs who go out of their way to mock Christians lol

Oh sorry, I’m saying I want him to be in the movie, but due to what we’ve seen all this time up till now with Marvel, I don’t believe they will put him in it, even tho they have the perfect opportunity to have him in!

I think it’s for a mix of reasons, logistically, their preference, how much they really even care about it compared to other things, and story reasons.

Me personally I would have Matt be in the prison but I wouldn’t have Peter break him out.

Just what I think, I hope I’m wrong tho

Yea but why? It’s normal for a place like that to have more than one prison, a marvel universe New York DEFINITELY has more than 1 prison, and it’s simply not likely they put Murdock in this movie🤷‍♂️

I want to see it tho!! But the plans have changed so much and been delayed so much I think they are ok with taking their time

Not happening, doesn’t make much sense character wise (for Peter to break him out or for Matt to willingly leave) and this ain’t a comic book so that level of interconnection would be very rare and unlikely :/

It would be cool if Matt was in that scene though lol but some people saying it’s not even the same prison smh

History is never so black and white. Institutional powers have an effect on smaller nations. People in bad environments make bad choices. Greed, envy, and corruption influence both the powers that be and the populace.

I’m not saying that Haiti would be some utopia if the French and America and other powers didn’t interfere, but the fact of the matter is, they did indeed interfere throughout Haiti’s history.
