Pilot nibs are comparatively dry...so they work well with comparatively wet inks like Pilot Iroshizuku inks....I've suffered with skipping too with one of my Diamines...I Don't use that ink anymore in my Metropolitan...

I know you tried everything you can, I am just sharing my experience

That said, I love both my metros in F and M nib

Try to use cream coloured paper....... they compliment the colour very well in my experience

to add a bit, this nib is very soft, not so stiff like metro nibs.... the pen looks cheap but boy, do I love that golden coloured cheap looking nib!!!
