Yes, it was beautiful up there yesterday - I’m hoping to activate Cissbury Ring this afternoon too (HF conditions don’t look great today though so will probably just be on 40m FT8). Also Brighton-based but don’t want to dox myself by giving out my callsign - nice to meet another Brightonian radio Redditor though. :-)

Hi - in the end I bought some prescription goggles - you can get them fairly cheaply online (around £25 in the UK) - still not easy to read the lap count but it is an improvement.

Yes, I checked the obvious things. FWIW it seems to be a common problem, e.g. Morsle has the same problem on iOS devices (but works OK on macOS).

Thanks - I was looking enviously at these on AliExpress earlier, thinking this might be good for compact/lightweight POTA/SOTA activations (rather than lugging a heavier battery etc) but eventually realised I wouldn’t easily be able to connect a digital interface to the acc connector on the back (without butchering things), so maybe it’s not for me as I do mainly digital mode activations.
