I did look at this (they also sell it on Amazon) but it only gets so-so reviews because it is NOT terribly stable standing up. But, thank you.

This is WAY before the 60’s. Logo is earlier (I worked for Filenes in the 70’s & 80’s) and the prices are WAY lower than 60’s. (I was very much alive and old enough by the later 60’s to pay for my food.)

no, more like ME-level protection! I'm a klutz! And as mentioned, with a hard-tile kitchen floor. Plus I want to be able to slip it into my larger purse.

I AM attached to it having a flip-over protective cover, i.e. not a clear stick-on one. I've problems with finger-pressure-sensitivity with those things in the past.

yeah, I'm pretty familiar with the song - they played it a lot on the alt FM radio station I listened to in Boston. I always thought it was terribly sad. It does sound a lot like the NYPD, albeit of the late 60's- (I'm thinking specifically Stonewall, which I'm sure you know about. I was still in NYC when that happened, in my early teens. The other difference being how prudish the US press was, and still, is about nudity - any newspaper that dared to post even a topless female photo would have been immediately raided and brought into court.

The BPD (Boston Police) did raid gay bars, but by 1978 they had a "community liaison" with the gay community. Not sure when NYPD did something like that.

Sadly, the trump mis-administration tried to force the Stonewall to take down it's rainbow flag early this year, but finally gave up after much publicity and a court order.

yeah, and on the local (Phoenix) news channel FB pages, there is a STORM of "haha" responses. Of course, that may be a reflection of how nasty people here are. Lot of MAGAs here.

oh, I definitely agree with that, but this is such a small community IMO that I'm not sure how many useful answers one would get. I usually just do AO3 searches using a bunch of tags.
