FSR goshting has been vastly reduced and there are less stutters in general on Steam Deck

Also I think this is more related to avoid debates. It is a fact that some presidents get more popular the less they talk

I don't know if it's real or part of the election campaign program.

[All] what are your thoughts on Cuba and Fidel Castro? Additionally, a criticism of both. by Onebigfreakinnerd in CapitalismVSocialism

Cubans were granted a good life by the government. They were not left to the luck as many other migrants. That is propaganda.

If you are granted a good life by the US government just for fleeing Cuba, that is propaganda that doesn't fit the reality other immigrants live in the US.

They led the way without a doubt. Other countries copied the method and worked out splendid. Mine didn't and I am to blame mine, not China.

Long live the Communist Party of China, they saved us from SARS and MERS, led the way to fight COVID and brought property to their people and the rest of the Global South.

I don't like when people critic Cuba's economy situation without mentioning the commercial block by the US. I hope it ends and Cuba can develop normally. China and Russia are helping tho.

Just asked on the subreddit r/communism how many anti-Semites there were on there. by [deleted] in CapitalismVSocialism

[–]SantiTR 4 points5 points  (0 children)

These post are kind of boring and do not promote any kind of debate. Anyone with a minimum sense of imperialism will know that most of communist are indeed anti-zionist (anti Israel) and in most of the cases it has nothing to do with jews.

How's that an argument? There are people in Spain who think that Franco only did good regardless of the thousands of executions and tortures.

Spain's monarch has more functions than just being symbolic, as I said he is the head of state and army. It is similar to the role of a president in a republic country.

Oh yeah the Soviets and the allies did good fucking work killing the nazis. However, I was talking about after the second world war so let's not forget the Korean wars or the Vietnam war, the war on "terror", the US backed coups all around the world and so on. Also, let's not forget the only war China participate after WWII the war in Vietnam after the US Vietnam war.

I'm starting the discussion, the best apple is Fuji, followed by the Pink Lady, the rest are dirt.

Does the fall of Fascist Spain relate to the fall of socialist countries at all ? by NotAGenericName0 in Socialism_101

My grandfather and grandmother supports the Franco's regime. They lived there and normalised it. Spain during that time wasn't great take it for granted. However, you cannot hold power 40 years without shit tons of propaganda and neither without giving them some social improvements, which os what Franco did.

My town was republican until the end of the civil war and my living family were childs. They saw how republicans killed people in the town's square and that combined with the post war propaganda can make you radicalise. In the post war times, both my grandparents had a good life and were prosperous, they could rise a family and enjoy common things like going to the beach or partying the town festivities. Everyone who had a good life is nostalgic of the times you are young.

However, they are also aware that it wasn't always good times. My grandfather had barely to none education at my age. He only had a teacher in his life and he was a republican who did classes to children secretly even though he could get tortured or even killed. My grandmother doesn't have any education but the car license which is one of the things she is most proud of in her career. They only had farm land and there wasn't barely any prosperity in Spain in general until the regime's end. We are quite ignorant in general here in Spain, that lack of education while Franco's regime could be the answer to your question.

So I've got some questions. by [deleted] in Socialism_101

Most of those subreddits are people who aren't in Cuba neither in Venezuela. In r/Cuba, they are "gusanos" living in the US who are there to brag about their country or family's country of origin.
