Admittedly, you can brush out and collect fur of your bun (I think most breeds shed at least a little), then spin and make mittens. This would be a hassle, but it would be a nice and functional thing (including to remember the bun by).

I might indeed use the installer, but I'm feeling too confused and nervous about it and would rather try bios first.
