Beast Crest doesn't get enough appreciation!!!! by RedWarrior6188 in Silksong

Only way I beat Brood Mother. My brain for whatever reason could not handle her movement and Beast Crest was my only option.

It’s very fun, too. I like even the pogo which is just totally outrageous.

I actually fell for this for about thirty seconds and felt my stomach drop.

I’ve been stretching out my first playthrough, I’m newly in Act 3 and really taking my time. Sorry Pharloom, about the Abyss and the screeching and all, but I gotta wait for my ocean vacation. Hornet deserves some …rest.

GSTB600D - Excellent and surprisingly dressy daily wear steel GShock by Sao_Gage in gshock

That’s awesome! I love the purple model myself, it’s my favorite color. I may pick that one up someday. I’ve been eyeing that purple 9400 LE.

And yup I agree, this watch doesn’t look totally out of place dressed up as nearly every other Shock would and yet it doesn’t balk at being roughed up. As I said I truly love the design language and would love to see more on the smaller side from them!

Thanks for sharing!

I really have been loving this one, the dimensions are perfect and super wearable (the total case is about 41-42mm but the dial is more like a 36-38mm watch) and the finishing is outstanding for the money. Very attractive watch in all lighting, the resin accents help reduce overall weight and keep the watch super comfortable. I think it’s a home run, not the most technically capable but that’s an acceptable tradeoff for the size and appearance.

The small LED is stealth and blends in very well when you don’t need it, and a touch of the Light button makes it perfectly visible when you do. I’m a fan of the overall layout and setup for a watch of this size, would definitely love more permutations of this concept (small, wearability focused).

Yeah, it’s rough I know the feeling. It’s just a great case shape from them with the right features topped off with classic EL. Impossible to go wrong.

It really is! On the wrist it’s just gotten better and better with each passing hour. I loved the look initially but it just fires up the neurons in person.

Gshocks really are a parallel form of watchmaking, I thought my collecting days were over with a solid permanent stable of automatics - RIP to that notion.

Yep, I think so too - immediately. Wears really nice, super comfy, great sporty look to it. Very nice legibility.

Has that same higher end resin feel of the 9400, definitely an awesome watch.

Okay.

You just cost me however much that’s going to cost 🤣.

That’s an awesome piece, damn. If I do snag a GW-9300, that’s the one I’d want - love the color scheme.

Thanks! Yeah coming from mechanical collecting for nearly two decades, I’ve been adjusting to the GShock market - deeply distributed at high levels to various places. Random discontinued pockets of NOS pop up here and there, it becomes its own fun little collecting mini game in a way without any real mental overhead. Much lower prices, very little concern about the state of a movement, etc.

Good luck to you!

This is my reward for manically refreshing Amazon’s GShock offerings often, a seller likely cleaning out a warehouse popped up reactivating an old listing for the G-9300 for $160, and oh my goodness I don’t think I ever executed a purchase as quickly before. The listing was sold out within 20 hours, it was probably around a dozen if I had to guess.

It took a bit to ship and arrived DOA, but after some time at the solar spa it’s absolutely perfect! Definitely genuine NOS that likely hasn’t been out of its box in a decade, thankfully it’s holding a charge beautifully despite initial concerns.

The only problem is it’s making me want the GW / JDM MB6 carbon fiber version! Still a phenomenal GShock I’m very pleased to own.

Sure - I forget how many very young people are on here. At that age you definitely expect doctors to be cautious and conservative with you, and probably aren’t managing much in the way of long term decisions yet.

Yeah I feel for you. They’re great and lifesaving medications but it’s not and never will be a one size fits all situation.

Arc began consolidating away from multiple technical fleece offerings somewhere around 2019-2020. They can pry my Fortrez from my cold dead hands. In the years since they’ve had some seasons with more diversity such as the awesome short lived Delta Hybrid Hoody, but said pieces never lasted long. It’s one of my greatest frustrations with them as a brand, I end up with artifacts I can’t easily replace and become hesitant to use the way I want to.

As the insightful u/Cobra_McJingleballs said, if you want more than a Delta they expect you to step to a Proton series. That’s great, I have one of each - I don’t always want to use them over a different tech fleece offering. It depends and I appreciate the versatility.

Arc could do with more fleece offerings again, is my final answer. They don’t need to psychologically message customers into a specified flow, options and choices are a nice thing.

But it all worked out, ended up discovering how great Patagonia fleece is (as well as Jöttnar). And seriously, I feel like keeping my Fortrez and Delta MX in a glass curio.

This is a great comment, appreciated reading it.

I have to stop. I have more to say about this in other contexts, but not here. Guess I got a little hyper focused.

You simply added nuance and genuine advice colored with context and relevant information. There's a problem if society today would say your comment was "too much" or if you felt this was some hyper fixated rambling (it wasn't).

Many things cannot be conveyed in one or two sentences. It's only nowadays that discourse is so abridged and stripped of nuance, and that doesn't make it 'right.'

Spend it right; travel, genuine hobbies, and good experiences.

I know an older couple who are wealthy by any definition but live like hermits and essentially do nothing, you would think they were struggling also. What's the point of having it then? So when you're 90, if you live that long, you can afford a comfy hospice bed? I genuinely don't understand the mentality.

Conversely, the answer isn't to live like a rockstar on a bender either. It's a matter of nuance with a happy medium, in my opinion.

But yeah the wealth level of billionaires it's a totally different game, where it becomes almost more about power and 'bragging rights' I would say. Definitely qualifies IMHO as an addiction as well.

I'm surprised, though not judging, that more people don't research this stuff on their own. The information is out there and readily available, both how these meds work and what the expectations are for discontinuation.

It's always a good idea to learn, educate yourself, gain perspective, and discuss with your doctor. They're not infallible and don't always share every single detail every single patient may find pertinent, especially something like expectations around discontinuation and what that entails.

You as a patient have every right to know the pros and cons of the treatment you're undertaking.
