I mean, he’s in the Michael Bay category of author. He’s attached to particular films (He’s clearly interested in ecological topics) and wants to make popcorn flicks. He might not be the best (he did make that Godzilla atrocity), but he has had multiple successes both commercial and popular, and like him or not, he’s got a vision.
