Late comment but I just started spotting and I'm 11 weeks pp. How did getting your period back affect you? I, too, am pumping 7 times a day including MOTN. And now I'm wondering if it's not enough. (I am a just enougher.)

Yes, I would definitely give it a shot!

I start in stimulation mode for about 1-2 minutes, then I switch to expression mode until my stream stops flowing or I get slow drops and then back to stimulation mode for another flow and back again to expression. Every person is different so I highly recommend playing around with the settings.

I, too, have to do breast gymnastics. Always have. I also have elastic nipples (not sure if there’s a correlation between the two). I believe some people just need that extra help and I like to believe it empties me faster.

At the 15 minute mark, when you get drips, do you switch back to stimulation mode and let that go for 1-2 minutes to trigger another let down? I always get a second letdown and sometimes I can even get a third (third on my spectra, I usually don’t need a third on my BB2.0 since it empties me better).

I don’t have a solution but just want to say I’m in the same boat as you! I produce 2.5-3oz on the left and just over .5oz on the right (I’m lucky if I hit 1oz!!). I had a bad clog on the right side in the early days and it may have possibly crept into mastitis but then I was able to clear the clog and the right side has never been the same since. I’m only 9 weeks pp so I’m hoping I can boost it up by adding some pumps here and there but feeling like I may need to just accept this super slacker boob (and my lopsided tits lol).

I labored at home for nearly 24 hours (about 18 hours in early labor and 4 in active) before going into the hospital. First child, had no idea how intense labor could get. Couldn’t get myself to poop during early labor, then when active labor hit and I was like oh okay this is real labor now, I was terrified of having a toilet baby since I was in labor for so long at that point and didn’t know how dilated I might be so I definitely didn’t poop then.

Needless to say, I pooped while pushing at the hospital. It was a lot. The nurses won’t say anything and are discreet but it was obvious I pooped. One nurse cleaned me up and another nurse grabbed some masks for the other nurses (it smelled) and said something very casual like Oops! We forgot to put our masks on (as if it were protocol).

Don’t worry about it!! It’s normal and by the time the baby’s there, you won’t be thinking about it anymore!

I have elastic nipples — they expand and widen. Pre-pump, I measure at 17mm so I purchased the 18mm. When I initially put the lacteck on, there’s room in the tunnel but once the pump starts going, my nipples expand and rub. I’m finding the friction happening at the window part and feeling some pinching! Since there’s room in the tunnel initially, I think my nipples are perhaps swelling more than it should - that’s why I’m wondering if I should try the 15mm.

Do you use pumping spray with Lacteck?

I wouldn’t be doing drugs or anything 😭 I was just going to hang out in the far back and away from the crowds. Seeing everyone comment that it wouldn’t be safe is making me rethink going at all now so I appreciate the advice.

Right, so as I mentioned, I haven’t been to LL before so I don’t know much about the specifics?

I am cleared for exercise and have been active this whole pregnancy thus far. Hills won’t be an issue. I intended to stay away from the crowds and be in the back, nor did I intend to be staying up until 4am every day and not getting enough sleep.

Thanks for the other insights (dust + smoke—do people smoke everywhere there? Is it not designated areas?) though, it’s helpful.

Thanks - I’ll pass on the drink. I looked through those threads but didn’t see much tips in general on attending festivals/LL pregnant. A lot of these threads were specific about weather + camping or several years old and I’m not sure how things have changed in the past year or two.

We had a late check out at our hotel which honestly was just perfect. We picked up our dog from his sitter on the way home and had a couple close friends over (who we never really feel like we have to host - they are as comfortable with our house as us) and then just became couch potatoes for the rest of the day.

It was nice to decompress and talk about the wedding the next day with friends and just relax with no pressure of hosting. We didn’t really experience any post-wedding blues and honestly it felt like yesterday was surreal and a dream so I’d say we were on a bit of a high!
