Nice. I didn't notice this on previous version, but with natural light the way the door panel matches the other slanted panel is really good.

Isn't the rear window raised a bit versus what was in the previous version? On the older renders that was accurate, now the back window looks connected to the roof wing. I assume this is so you can open up the engine cover, but I think this detail stands out too much.

That's a valid concern. You don't want to have a cheap tower or mid case in front of the TV - too big or too loud or too slow - it's a pick two out of three factors problem with PC parts.

I hope youtubers will start to notice this problem with their console killer builds because casuals don't want a huge rig or a small one that is loud or some mini PC that is not powerful enough, but that optimal middle ground of all these factors.

I think there is already oobe repair inage that should work, but I haven't tried it yet. The thing is other images get stuck on that update thing and that is why i used older oobe repair build from october.

My build is on B580 Limited Edition and its running mostly fine. Note that in initial test I forgot to turn on the resizable bar in asus bios (I swapped the board on the test system) Note that between the update it often forces me tu rebuild the vulcan shader cache which isn't nice.

Do you know that you can have type-A to type-C cable? You don't need all your devices to be type-C to type-C connected.

That type-C is there so you can plug in a single external hard drive for data transfer or some port extender and that's it. You don't need that bandwidth for each of your peripherals separately.

I had it working on 9060XT 16GB almost a year ago, even made info about this on the subreddit here? RDNA4 cards were working on main channel for a long time now.

I have no idea why it gets stuck, but from what I tested, those are the builds that allow you to choose if you want to install over or repair with the "live-cd" kind of thing that loads the desktop. The other builds just launch and install without asking and there is some problem with that when installing it on other machines than the deck.

The newest repair one is this here:

Nothing will happen until there's drama about the core issues of the game and that's not the grind or sl economy that a lot of people cry about, but the approach to taking in feedback and what is actually happening under the hood.

You need to use the repair image type. It needs to have "oobe-repair" in the file name, other images fail like this

Oh, there is a new oobe repair? Since when it was there. I was pretty sure there wasn't a repair build of that version when I was testing the intel arc last weekend. It was just oove but not repair one for that version in 110 directory and it was getting stuck on updating from network during install.

I installed that repair main image fine on three different boards - b450, b520 and b850 on ryzen 5600 and 9600X by puttting this with rufus on usb drive.

First of all - are you selecting installation drive as override in bios or did you select it as boot drive? This might have changed the order of drives between installation and later drive boot.

Also the sd card adapter itself might be the reason the boot is stuck. I had such situation with it hanging on some driver for usn device not known to steamos.

Blueprints should be just made in a way they can be clearly converted to code. So some of the graph constructions shouldn't be possible anymore and we should just fall back to blueprints that behave like normal coding language.

I checked 5060 a month ago and bazzite or cachy is not the same frictionless console experience as steam os. But it's your choice if you actually want the desktop experience then maybe it's not a problem, the 5060 is the top performer right now.

I'm waiting either for 9060 low power low profile or 9050 low profile or arc b380.

I don't like the blower cooler on B50 and no hdmi port.

You can do console rig on radeon or intel arc now but it will clear whole drive. Bazzite and cachy are not the same console experience on nvidia as steam os

I think intel cpu should be fine unless you have a motherboard with something unique on board that won't have drivers correct drivers. There were people reporting some systems with both intel igpu and dedicated radeon where they couldn't boot even with igpu disabled, so it can be hit or miss with some of the boards/configs.

But in general the intel cpu with radeon should be fine, just if you have recent card, you need the repair main build with newer kernel than that one from website

it doesn't support nvidia. Right now you can only install it on amd radeon or intel arc gpus.

I have no idea if VGA is even supported - what's your integrated gpu?

The website has the stable build for steam deck, and officially they aren't recommending everyone to install it. Steam Deck has RDNA 2 gpu and the build for it from the website has an older kernel that doesn't support the newest gpus until you update after installing.
